UK passengers can use their phones during flights, but with certain restrictions. Here's what you need to know ¹:

Nigerians make una learn. All those restrictions involved putting on airplane mode or turn off. U can use ur phone doest. Involve making calls. U fit dey snap, watch downloaded movies etc.

- *Airplane Mode Required*: Phones must be in airplane mode, which disables cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connections to prevent interference with the aircraft's communication systems.
- *Usage During Flight Stages*: Typically, phones can be used in airplane mode during the cruise phase of flight, but it's best to follow the airline's specific guidelines. During takeoff and landing, phones are usually required to be turned off or in airplane mode.
- *Making Calls and Sending Texts*: Making voice calls or sending texts is generally prohibited on UK airlines unless the aircraft is specially equipped with an approved mobile phone control system. Even then, the crew will inform passengers when it's allowed.
- *Airline Policies*: Different airlines may have varying rules regarding electronic device usage during flights. Some may permit the use of devices in airplane mode throughout the flight, while others might have additional restrictions.
- *Security Screening*: When going through airport security, passengers are required to remove their phones and other electronic devices from their bags for X-ray screening.

Really, like seriously? This means that many crew members will have a lot of people to contend with most times because people usually use airplane mode most times.

Come to think of it what of international flights coming in? Are passengers required to turn off their phones once they enter Nigerian airspace.

I have never switched off and never will. I simply tuck my phone away in my pocket when the flight is about to take off, recline into my seat, and think about my life for the next hour or so until the plane lands, that's it.
what will it cost you to obey, if you value your life you wont take some unnecessary risk ....

thats why Buhari said it is much easier to control cows that to control Nigerians Someone will sha be feeling bigger than whale

Normally, the instruction is to always turn off phones according to ICAO standard. However, some flying passengers are often obstinate to this safety instruction. I strictly observed same when I flew from Abuja to Lagos
It’s not to turn off phone. Yes, phone can be turned off, but when there’s Airplane mode, that can be turned on. But Nigerian hostesses tend to force people to SWITCH OFF their phones

So they know this and decided to withdraw the case against comforthuh

In my opinion, let her serve her jail term and also fine the airline heavily for allowing the explicit video leak online...

That way, everybody learns a lesson...
Passengers learn to be disciplined at all times and airline operators learn to be professional at all times.....
Lets just say they saw the bigger picture, keeping comfort in prison is detrimental to the ibom brand, .... and kwam1 waiver worked for her as well
Spending two days in kirikiri no be miomio, it will be in her record for life thats enough lesson not to mention her nude, i dont think anyone sane will want to toll that line again cos the avaition are more prepared for any kwam 3

You don't know that it's for your own safety? You can never tell how incoming calls and so on can affect a plane's navigation during takeoff and landing.
It doesn’t bro…and can never crash a plane..only that a faint sharp noise will be heard over the intercom

What a dumb and stupid directive; just when airlines are moving almost upwards full on flight connectivity, our NCAA is moving many steps in the opposite direction undecided undecided undecided
Anyways, kundus to them shocked shocked shocked
Full flight connectivity is only after take off..it’s not available during take off anywhere in the world!!

Pretty sure you will forget this cool guy act.

A little imagination would help you here. But it's almost as if I know you.

You employ imagination when you don't need to and stubbornly refuse to do so when it is important to, claiming you already know it all.

Is that faint sharp noise ideal?

You realise that in that second the control tower could be telling the pilot something important and that interference will drown it out don't you?

Plane crashes have been caused in this exact manner.

SWITCH OFF PHONES, OTHER PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICES DURING FLIGHT TAKE-OFF AND LANDING," CAPT. NAJOMO TASKS AIR PASSENGERS

Director-General Civil Aviation, (DGCA), Capt. Chris Najomo, has tasked air passengers to ensure they switch off their phones and other portable electronic devices during flight take-off and landing.

He also directed Nigeria’s airline operators to amend their Operations Manuals to reflect this requirement and submit to the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) for approval.

Capt. Najomo gave these directives today during an emergency National Civil Aviation Security Committee (NCASC) meeting convened by the NCAA in Abuja.
https://x.com/NigeriaCAA/status/1957850517058556265?t=p94OvvTydJBgtuwX3UOUtg&s=19[/quote]In Europe and elsewhere this isn't an issue because 5G is now in full use, so 5G phones can be used on flights WITHOUT any disruptions.

Until the upgrades are done to permit the use of 5G phones on flights within the Nigerian aviation industry, the use of mobile phones would pose a threat to flights due to instrument frequencies being of the same range with mobile phone frequencies. So, mobile phones and other devices have to be turned off.

Just a simple instruction.

Is it this hard?
Google is your friend. Phones don't do nada. I have never switched off my phone on a flight. When they start wakaring to check seat belt and bag I just keep the phone in my pocket, after takeoff I bring it back. Only Nigeria does this rubbish of switching off. On Delta you get free wifi, In Nigeria they tell you to off your phone and listen to the engine sound.

If Phones were really dangerous, they wouldn't even allow it inside the cabin.

Taking off requires communications with the Control tower and radial and phones always disrupt the waves , as you know a seconds in plane is like a day so whatever needs to be done must be done immediately, the same with landing as well and following some turbulences during free flow in the space....

So you have to be patience , at least you can take pictures before the engines go on and after landing as well , but in all, adhere strictly to the voice coming from the cockpit....
