what you don't know try to ask, if u travel a lot u will noticed that in some busy high ways there are speed brakes especially on high ways that passes through a busy community or town,it's not a new thing for speed brakes been on high ways

you have the freedom of the internet. i challenge you to show me any motorway, freeway or intercity road or trunk A road anywhere in any modern society that has what you described. I'll be waiting, i am here all night!

I have driven from New York to chicago to LA down route 66, I have lived in the uk for over 20 years, I have driven in Belgium, france, germany, Spain, italy, Holland. more importantly i drove in Nigeria when Nigeria had good roads and sane citizens. we have become too acustomed to anyhowness!

The only place you can ever find speed bumps or road contrictions are municipal roads. there are what you call motorways, trunk roads, A roads, B roads etc. You can NEVER, I repeat NEVER find a spped bump or road constriction installed on anything below an A road. i am not even sure they are allowed on B roads. the only place you can find speed bumps is inner city local aka municipal roads. so even if a highway passes through a city or town, it can never have speed bumps.

you probably have never even entered aboard an international flight in your life because no body who has travelled outside of Africa will ever make such a statement. I say Africa only to give allowance for nonsense we have exported to some African countries. I dont think you can ever find such even in a francophone African country because generally they have and tend to uphold road standards.

That can earn him jail time. We all understand the pain and the situation. He absolutely had no right to do that on a public road, built with public funds. His lawyer recently warned him to mind his limits. This is not activism, but clearly a case of lacking knowledge. That was absolutely perfect ignorance on his part.

Speed breakers are built by contractors, on the instructions of government. You have no right to build speed breakers on the road, as you are not government or the one who gave the project to build the road in the first place. You will be prosecuted, as it is called “destruction of public property”. Roads are built with public funds and even those built by the likes of Dangote still belong to the public.

you laugh at experts? experts design road so there are road signs warning motorists of dangers ahead. does your hero have road signs warning motorists at night of the speed bumps? Thats why it is a criminal offense to tamper with roads and public infrastructure!

I apologize if my use of "lol" or "ridiculous" came across as insulting. I wasn't referring to you or the experts. My point was about our cultural habit of saying "leave it to the experts" as a way to avoid taking action. If our government truly listened to experts, VDM wouldn't have been forced to act, and we wouldn't be having this debate about his heroism.

Let's get back to the main point. Martin Luther King's first march in Selma was illegal, but he knew he had to do it. VDM isn't naive; he understands that his actions are technically illegal. But civil disobedience is sometimes the only way to get things done. He is willing to risk everything to make a difference. Some people accuse him of chasing fame, but if you look at his actions, you'll see he's successfully drawn attention to a serious issue and done things most people wouldn't dare.

Of course he will not do it in Western countries because they would have made sure their citizens are not recklessly killed on that road.

A state and local government that have works department, never see a need for making speed bumps on their road. What a shame
