Singer, Naira Marley has addressed claims linking him to the death of his former signee, MohBad.
 
In a video shared online, Naira stated that the last time he saw MohBad was on October 4, 2022, after an altercation between the singer and his then-manager. According to him, despite previous issues – including MohBad’s clash with NDLEA, an attempted suicide, a legal dispute with his distributor, and his exit from Marlian Music – MohBad was still considering an apology before his passing.
 
On learning of MohBad’s death on September 12, 2023, Naira Marley said he was outside Nigeria, first in Amsterdam and later linking up with Zinoleesky in Montenegro for a planned video shoot. He added that he had passport stamps, videos, and witnesses to confirm his absence from the country at the time.
 
Reacting to viral clips, including the video of Sam Larry confronting MohBad on set, Marley said the first time he saw the footage was online like everyone else, but insisted it was not recorded on the day MohBad died. He also claimed Zlatan had privately confirmed that nothing violent happened at that shoot.
 
Marley alleged that some blogs were paid to circulate old clips in order to change the narrative around MohBad’s death, while stressing that he was unfairly blamed and never got the chance to mourn properly.
 
On MohBad’s struggles, Marley referenced a leaked voice note where the late singer expressed paranoia and fear after past incidents. MohBad’s partner also admitted he battled depression and had once been taken to a psychiatric hospital, noting that he became “a shadow of himself” after the NDLEA raid.
 
Marley denied ever bullying MohBad or sending anyone to harass him. He also dismissed a viral Snapchat clip of him dancing shortly after MohBad’s death, insisting it was an old video used to frame him.

there is overwhelming evidence that you bullied Mohbad.

No one said you and Sam Larry shot or stabbed him but you guys broke him physically, mentally and emotionally to the point that he petitioned authorities and put out videos saying that if anything happens to him, we should hold you both responsible.

EDIT: I just finished watching Naira Marley’s video and I’ll like to Trully apologize to Naira. He didn’t deserve all he got. I blocked this guy all over every music platform I used and I’m going to unblock both him and Zinoleesky. If you haven’t watched this video, please do.

Mohbad's death was mystified as a means to destroy Naira Marley. There is nothing mysterious about Mohbad's death. This is someone who is unknown when he was alive and active. Incitement using social media is just one of it's terrible demerits.

In as much I don't really like your lyrics, I appreciate your beats. That asides only God knows the truth of the whole matter. Nigerians are fond of jumping into conclusion without proper investigation and most people allow affection cloud their judgement, forgetting that angel looking person can be devil.

He didnt kill Mohbad, yes but , Naira Marley definitely bullied Mohbad. Made his life miserable because the boy wanted to leave his record label. Naira Marley threatened to kill Mohbad. He sent his goons to attack him several times.

That is not enough evidence. Anybody can say such. People say this things but it is not enough evidence.
