This is part of the N500b Food For Lagos initiative. There's a Lagos farm in Niger which would run the course.
Gov Bago is very underrated, he is a top 3 best performing Governor. There's no regrets voting Gov Sanwo Olu the second time.

-Kiss the truth!
He is. In fact he comes to mind when I think of young and progressives Northerners in office who could play bigger roles in Nigerian politics in future.

Very good, poor states should give up land to viable states to boost agriculture...it should be on lease terms, strictly business.

That is not what I'm saying in my piece. My piece is for the future, not the past. You're free to hold on to the past.

Partnerships always work better. Let a state with comparative adjective in agriculture focus on that and let another with comparative adjective in logistics take charge afterwards. This is a good plan and I hope more of such plans are reached.
Slow but steady, we are getting there.
wats comparative adjective?
I thought it's comparative cost or absolute cost advantage.

Niger to Halt Supply of Live Cows, Process Meat Locally, Deliver Frozen to Lagos
If the Federal Government can create innovative financial models that can provide seed funding for youths to engage in large scale agriculture across the 36 states of Nigeria whilst providing security of life and produce, believe me in the next 20 years Nigeria will be the most developed country in Africa.
The west knows that agriculture holds the key to Nigeria's prosperity that's why they sponsor bandits and terrorism to prevent Nigerians from going to the farms.

There are big farms set up by lagos state government itself in Lagos

Lagos state government is trying to curb over reliance on norther farmers.

The government is making use of different options

Win win for Lagos, Niger State and Nigerians

These are the sort of news that should excite young Nigerians and challenge them to get involved.

Even dedicating 3 years to learn specialist and profitable areas of processing agro-produce for export can make many youths far richer than money they earn from laptop scamming they engage in all day.

My nephew is 23 and already making serious money from fish farming he started 3 years ago. He stopped calling me to ask for money ages ago but you have not stopped monitoring Peter Obi for years ago. grin grin grin lol.

Re: Niger Gives Lagos 100,000 Hectares For Food Production by sreamsense: 6:41pm On Aug 20, 2025
This is very good, even to the Niger state; this will push away bandits because where they hide would have been turned to secured farm. Lagos state must make sure security of the farm 24/7 from bandits, worker-farm thieves and herdsmen remains priority .

Those Obidients and Amechi that are always hungry will now be fed by God's grace this time next year or before then as they will have plenty to eat. It will also encourage other states across Nigeria to buy into farming, all those ipob hideouts where they kidnap Igbos for igbos will not accommodate them again as they will always be on surveillance

Same question on the lips of many Lagosians... It was a novel idea started by the Fashola & Ambode administrations as partnership between Lagos state and Kebbi state die the production of Tonnes of bags of Rice (LaKe Rice).

It's an advantage over others in production of a good. In this instance, Niger state has such an advantage by virtue of it's land mass.

Edit: I meant advantage. I don't know what came over me grin grin

My only problem is continuation cos a similar like this took place under Ambode, who partnered with kebbi state to produce LAKE RICE and today the brilliant idea was killed.
