The headline is misleading. The N1.4 billion was paid to Gombe State government by the Federal government as compensation for taking over the state-owned NYSC orientation camp for other purposes. It was not paid to 'repentant' boko haram terrorists as the op mischievous claims on the headline.

By the way, I think Gombe State government's claim that they spent N5 billion to build a new NYSC orientation camp need to be investigated because I personally don't think the actual cost of that project could reach N1 billion.

Corruption has totally brought this country to its knees. Governments at all level have this habit of inflating the cost of whatever project they embark on in order to corruptly enrich themselves and their cronies.

Paying your killers to kill you. Just imagine they were the ones who were directed affected by the evil activities of these people, would they have rewarded them for repenting?

..is it not Isreal that is fighting and killing terrorists in the middle east and also killing the terrorists leaders.. Isreal have killed a lot of terrorists including the terrorists leaders and these terrorists are afraid of Isreal..killed the Hamas, Hezbollah and many other terrorists and their terrorists leaders ... Nigeria rehabilitating terrorists is like encouraging terrorism ..because the younger ones and more youths will be encouraged to go into terrorism knowing that the federal government will forgive them as repentant terrorists.. and give them amnesty, money, food so far you tell them the federal government you have repented ,....

Taliban didnt win anything , it was vanquished. You can travel by road to any part of the US without fear day and night.
