Peter Obi doesn't need to apologize but sue Nnamdi Kanu for the allegations he made against Peter Obi about his sexuality if Nnamdi Kanu lied against him. So as it stands, it isn't a failed parenting. His son is only doing what Nnamdi Kanu publicly said his father Peter Obi also does.
