@BayoOnanuga
Nigeria’s External Reserves Reach $41 Billion Milestone

Nigeria recorded an external reserve of $41,001,830,139.96 (forty-one billion dollars) on 19 August, according to data published today by the Central Bank. Net foreign reserve was $40.3 billion. Nairametrics reported that the last time our country recorded such a level of foreign liquidity was in 2021, 44 months ago.

The latest milestone was reached without our country having a massive inflow from oil sales. Indeed, oil prices are sliding southwards. It's all about the prudent management of the economy by President Bola Tinubu. I can bet that Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Nasir El-Rufai and Babachir Lawal would never acknowledge this remarkable success. They are more interested in their doomed campaign to overthrow Bola Tinubu. This obsession has blinded them from recognising the progress being delivered by President Bola Tinubu's government on multiple fronts.

Bayo Onanuga has since lost the plot. Everything he does seems geared to gain the validation of the opposition. Shouldn't he be communicating directly to Nigerians on what Tinubu has done instead? He seems to mistake his role for a campaign spokesman than a presidential spokesman that he is.

Our foreign reserve reached 47 billion dollars in 2018 under Buhari.
Buhari was paying subsidy and was defending naira.
Tinubu is not paying subsidy and has devalued naira.
Our foreign reserve should be hitting above 100 billion dollars currently.

In 2023, most people in Lagos voted against Tinubu. The same people voted for Sanwo Olu and other APC members at the state and local level. Now Nigerians are experiencing the most extreme hardship and insecurity from day 1 of his government.

2027 is going to be a massive vote against Tinubu regardless of party affiliation.

External reserve is shoring up in the face of intense hunger, unemployment and poverty.If people are really feeling the positive impact of this govt ordinary men and women on the streets would speak in support of it.

You are intelligent, you are one those people in Nigeria that are sway by their propaganda. You are not paying subsidy, not defending naira and oil production is on the rise and they gloating over foreign reserve.

But if the price of bag of rice continues to be higher than the minimum wage, with all these good news, then, Tinubu's government will continue to be seen as an anti-poor government

So they should share the foreign reserve so you can eat dinner today? Do you even know the purpose of the reserve ......get a job or add value to yourself so you can stop complaining about hunger.....there are loads of people making it in this country while you are here wailing.

Any development or statistics that is not positively felt by the masses is akin to using sand to bath instead of water. Onanuga is just playing a written script to please his pay masters.

OK. It's time to EAT the statistics that they asked us if that is what we will chop during the campaigns in 2023.

No! We don't want to EAT statistics, we want FOOD! We want stable electricity and economy! We want good security and infrastructures in place.
