I was just thinking about this today… 🤔 When you walk into a phone shop to buy a new device, do you just grab any colour that’s available, or are you the type that must get your preferred colour even if it means waiting or paying extra?

I remember when I got my phone I wanted black, told them and they said it was out of stock, I felt really disappointed and was almost ready to walk away because they didn't have it then miraculously they found a black in their store room. So it got me thinking about the colours phones come in a little more and if it matters to people as it did me.

And yunno these days, phone brands are really giving us variety. Gone are the days when it was just boring black, silver or white. Now we see:

iPhone 15 in Blue, Pink, Yellow, Green, Black

Samsung Galaxy S24 in Onyx Black, Marble Gray, Cobalt Violet, Amber Yellow

Tecno Camon 30 with Glacier Glow and Iceland Basaltic Dark, Camon 40 Glacier white and Emerald lake green

Infinix Zero Ultra in Coslight Silver and Genesis Noir, Note 50 in titanic grey and shadow black

realme C61 in forest green, C75x in Coral pink and oceanic blue, C71 in forest owl or black night


Really interesting colours right? (See names nau😂). The colours alone sometimes make you fall in love with the phone before even checking the specs. ✨So my people, how do you buy your phones?

-Any colour as long as the phone is available?
-Or you’re colour-conscious like me and will wait until you find that perfect shade?

Na colour I dey chop or functionality? Back in the day, even today, I was handed down phones. I will pick a colour only if the option is available during sale. If extra money is attached, I am not doing.

But e get both color and functionality, but very budget specific

Just as the other guy said, I choose color, but if there is any other thing attached with getting my specific color choice I move.

When ever I want to buy a phone, I’m always confused on which colour to pick, especially android phones like Tecno. They have really eye catchy colours

Am have picky when it comes to colour that why I got stuck with the realmeC75x the coral pink is stunning

Color adds to the vibe, but performance matters more.

Would you still buy your dream phone if it only came in a color you don’t like?

realme C75x pink dey shine sha ✨, but I can manage any shade.

if you are after colour, then you would use your phone nakedly like that without using phone case and other accessories. Which is dangerous incase your phone falls down, nothing to protect it

Color matters to me o... las las I go still use Case but if the case is transparent (of which I must have at least one transparent case), the color will still show... and if the color will show I need to be able to dictate the color that will show.

Personally Tecno is always the brand I’d always go for the make it easier to pick colors without so much pondering,their coconuts are so catchy

I'm colour specific too. Even in any thing I buy. It's either grey or black.

Give accolades to the brand, they never disappoint ✍️✍️✍️

I go for gold colour on my redmi note 14 and I got it

I don’t really look much into colour if it’s packed with innovative features but this new brand realme made me picky with their cloral pink colour
