They should increase the wages of civil servants and pay them their gratuity immediately after retirement. Many retirees are languishing, battling poverty and sickness. Some are even dead.
God bless you for this. I hope they would comply with this your suggestion!

If hell nor exit? If the sun exist with its burning furnace far beyond what man can comprehend and no structural base to it, then it's very possible hell could exit.. We exist in the realm of flesh and blood but over there, the soul is all that is needed..
If hell exists, then it must be empty. Because the sun we know doesn't have people living inside it. So will hell be too. And also, spiritual souls cannot be trapped in a physical heat.

I'm not against any amount being put forward by RMAFC for political office holders. Nigeria would have been better if every worker in Nigeria remains faithful to his or her stipulated fee at the end of the month. Using one's position to extort money from innocent citizens is the ghost that keeps haunting Nigeria and many amongst us that we call rich worker and decent is guilty of this.

Last week, the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) hinted at plans to review the salaries of political office holders in Nigeria, describing their current earnings as inadequate, unrealistic, and outdated in the face of rising responsibilities and economic challenges.

RMAFC Chairman, Mohammed Shehu stated: “You are paying the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria ₦1.5m a month since 2008, with a population of over 200 million people. Everybody believes that it is a joke."
He added that this increment will be exclusive to the President, Vice President, Governors and their Deputies, Ministers as well as lawmakers.

However, Daniel Ojukwu, who works with the Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ) has faulted these claims. In a response to an X user; @MasterBolaji, Ojukwu said the President earned more than ₦1m salary per month.

RMFAC are just doing the bidding of their masters.
It's high time the NLC hold the Nigerian government on its balls because they have for too long kicked at its goads. Enough is Enough.

The question we should ask is why should the salary of a PUBLIC SERVANT be in secrecy. Why?

Even if he earns a billion per month, it should be known by the citizens.

What of the benefits in kind, like travelling for medical tourism in the new jet bought from the $84 billion subsidy savings that has made petrol and everything else expensive in the last two years?

chisomkachy:
Nigerian President Bola Tinubu’s first supplementary budget includes a fleet of SUVs for himself and his wife, a presidential yacht and the renovation of his villa amid a cost-of-living crisis for some of the poorest people in the world.

The proposal — which seeks additional funding beyond the annual budget approved by Tinubu’s predecessor — comes as the government asks Nigerians to persevere through pain caused in part by a raft of economic reforms ushered in by the new president. Africa’s most populous country faces rampant unemployment, soaring food prices and a plummeting currency.

Federal lawmakers approved the president’s request for extra spending on Thursday, but eliminated the provision of 5 billion naira ($6.01 million) to buy a presidential yacht. Instead, they doubled the allocation to a student loan fund to 10 billion naira, according Abubakar Bichi, chairman of an appropriations committee in the House of Representatives.

The lawmakers approved 1.5 billion-naira proposed to purchase SUVs for the office of First Lady Oluremi Tinubu — an amount larger than that allocated to many individual federal colleges. The supplementary budget also proposes almost 6 billion naira to purchase SUVs for the presidency — more than the amount initially allocated to fund a student loan program for poor families.

“The worst illiterate is the political illiterate, he doesn’t hear, doesn’t speak, nor participates in the political events.

He doesn’t know the cost of life, the price of the bean, of the fish, of the flour, of the rent, of the shoes and of the medicine, all depends on political decisions. The political illiterate is so stupid that he is proud and swells his chest saying that he hates politics.

The slowpoke doesn’t know that, from his political ignorance is born the prostitute, the abandoned child, and the worst thieves of all, the bad politician, corrupted and flunky of the national and multinational companies.”

Don't be deflecting, I have a thriving business, I do what I have to do keep it running well.

The NLC have people working there, you don't expect me to help them do the work they are been paid for. And if they know they can't be the voice of the masses when it matters, then they can resign.

But they know what they gain by just being there, that why up until now their impact has not been felt. The last time the NLC did anything meaningful was when Sen. Adams Oshiomole was the leader.

I am speaking based on verifiable situations where the NLC had an opportunity to win public trust with their actions, instead they end up laying in bed with the very oppressive government they are meant to check.

They have consistently betrayed the trust of the average Nigerian worker with their fake response to critical issues.

Asking me if I have used my money and talent to help NLC improve, is the most stupid question I have been asked in a very long time...lol grin grin grin grin.
