But if you want to follow the way the world is going, men are no longer supposed to provide for women every time. A man should provide for his woman if the woman does not have. But if the woman has her own money, why should she save it so that the man will be the one spending his own or her?
Women are now equally being empowered the same way men are being empowered. Women now go to school and get jobs. If it was in the past when only men were empowered, when only men were trained in school and offered jobs, I will agree that it remains the responsibility of men to be providing for women. If men should continue to provide all the financial needs of women now that women are equally empowered, what then is the essence of empowering women? If women want all their needs to be provided by men, then the women should focus on opening their legs in bedrooms and nursing children, the women should not bother about going to school and competing with men in the job market.

I don't agree with you. Gehgeh is an urhobo guy and there is something I love so much about the urhobo culture. They don't worship women over there,so this makes their women to be less entitled unlike most gals today. The urhobo culture sees man as the king or the prize and places more responsibility on the women to work and care for the family. We need to change the narrative that a man is to work all his life like a slave for the family. Many men are dying in silence because of this way of thinking. To even make matters worse the women you are toiling day and night to take care of don't even appreciate or give a bleep about you cos women naturally tend to value a relationship or marriage that they have invested so much in. Urhobo is one of the few places you see a man married to three wives and those wives are very hardworking and loyal to their husband. If I had taken relationship matters seriously and learnt from experienced people, I probably wouldn't have experienced the trauma I went through 3 years ago. Today it's almost on equal basis, no longer gender based. Couples now share roles and responsibilities because most women now earn more than their husbands, things that never happened in the ancient times.


Gradually women now want to take up men's roles while men wish to take on women roles or run away from responsibilities.


So don't worry, it's part of life's cycle, it will surely get to that stage and then humans will want to revert back to the old ways where women stayed at home to care for the home/kids while the men went out to work and bring back bread.
