Just this month, there was the case of an ethiopian lady married to a Swede/Norweigian. When abuses became the norm, she asked for a divorce, he agreed BUT not before attempting to butcher the lady leaving her naked body wrapped in a plastic bag. Of course, with that mindset this means nothing to you. Perhaps, you would rather open a balance sheet to count lives lost.

Your worry is for the Ethiopian woman but not for the 10s of millions of Nigerian women across Nigeria, whom the Law literally turns a blind eye to, even if eventually killed in marriage, a place where, up until more recently, abuse in marriage was the norm, and the reality for Nigerian women in marriage?
