Delta State currently receive the highest monthly allocation from FG in Nigeria. I hope the Governor build land mark projects that will lead to economic boom in the state

Last year Governor Otti used N54B to renovate 50 Government primary and secondary schools in Abia State. What a waste of money.

Benue and Bayelsa Governors don't know what to do with the money they are receiving.

Anambra State Governor built theme park the people don't need while his counterpart in Kaduna State completed a Petroleum and Gas University.

As usual divert from the issue on ground and talk of point, emptiness filled with so much arrogance from Tinubu down to his last supporter, that's why Nigeria is the way it is today...

Let the president strengthen the EFCc and make it truly independent and empowered to go after anybody irrespective of whether the person is a governor, minister from the ruling party or not....

Then the governors will sit up

So the state Governors are not the ones in charge of the increased allocations they collect?. No wonder, they're looting away your future.
Did Tinubu only come to share ti share more monies to the governors? is that what you people elected him for?

Who sensitize the common man on the street and encourage citizens to hold the President accountable?

They are asking you to hold your state governors accountable but you're here deflecting issues.

Why are you afraid to hold your governor accountable?

To make life better for you.
How do you hold your own governor accountable?

OP, stop feigning ignorance and acting like a novice! That subsidy windfall is a bargaining chip by president Tinubu to the governors, so as to get support from them for 2027 elections.

Tinubu believes by giving them access to these subsidy funds, he has bought over their consciences to his side. If he really cared about what they do with the money, he would have called for them to account for it. Reason why there is so much impunity in this administration.

All of them are criminals, from top to bottom.... Look at the huge sum generated from the subsidy we didn't ask to be removed yet hunger and hardship have gone highest since the creation of Nigeria
You're a liar, Nigerians have been calling for that subsidy fraud to be removed. Buhari promised to remove it but couldn't and all the major Presidential candidates promised to remove it. Jagaban came in and removed the fraud.
The governors remain the weakest link in the efforts to accelerate the economic growth of this nation. They have everything at their disposal, effectively insulated from legal hurdles against stealing by their immunity clause and unfathered access to LG funds. As though the situation isnt bad enough, we have a population, ESPECIALLY from the East, that think it is a taboo to hold governors to account. A people that will proudly tell you they dont care who becomes governor, or NASS members, but only the president. Along with this comes a vacuum of accountability at the level closest to the people, with governors behaving like unquestionable emperors.

In the end, whatever little progress we manage to make due to Abuja becomes neutralised by the drag resulting from underperforming governors. This has been our plight as a people.

HOLD YOUR GOVERNORS TO ACCOUNT. EACH OF THEM COLLECT MONIES ON YOUR BEHALF PEOPLE.
Very nonsense baseless talks , the same Governors you all are rejoicing that are defeating to APChuh?

Tinubu's has no apology on the masses, his Government is strictly for the Governors, senators , top business men, I short it is for the elites ...

How can you as a President, hand over huge monies to people just because they are found in the seat of power as Governors without holding them accountable, without any proper monitoring committee set to make sure they use the money rightlyhuh

The money is only used to corner them to embrace APC for a one party system but God pass all of you all...

What is the work of EFCC? Who are even the people in APC, are they corrupt freehuh

Who are those defeating to APC, are they corrupt freehuh?

It is better I hold the man who made life hard and showed no atom of emotions or having conscience than to hold one of them who has zero integrity but was trusted simply because he will join the party....

After inflicting a serious injury on the masses of the nation by removing the subsidy on his first day in office, one would have expected Tinubu, if he was a good leader to be in firm control of how the monies made from this subsidy removal would be efficiently and incorruptibly used to alleviate the injury he inflicted on the people rather than just doling out these monies to many of these guys that even find it difficult till now to pay the minimum wage of 70k naira . Giving these governors these monies had a political undertone from day one, the primary objective was to get the loyalty and support of some of these governors, especially the ones in the opposition parties, He has achieved his aim to some extent to the detriment of the suffering larger percentage of the populace. It's a known fact in Nigeria that contesting and winning a gubernatorial race would have gulped hundreds of billions of naira, if not trillions.
Instead of the corrupt scholarship scheme, free education at least to high school level would have been a good idea. Giving loans and grants to serious Nigerians that are interested in the Agricultural sector would have started yielding results by now.

Tinubu is too corrupt for my liking, he's in agreement with the governors to deliver their respective states for him in 2027.
All he cares for is 2nd term and nothing more cool

My statement refers to all the presidents, both past and present. The last time we had an EFCc that appeared to work was during Obasanjo era. Even at that, the EFCc wasn't independent. It must get permission from the president before it goes after anyone which isn't supposed to be... And it has continued till now

You haven't said anything different, why majority voted for Buhari was because people thought his coming can jail most corrupt politicians but it was even a feast than a fight....

So the Present President is who is supposed to change anything as we speak now, I don't speak about former Presidents or Governors but what is the current one doing to stop many abnormalitieshuh?

Have you held ebilokan to account for his incompetent leadership looter-ship of the country huh

What has he done with the bigger slice of 53% to the federal government, of the $84 billion subsidy savings, if he is taking more loans than previous administrations who gave us cheap petrol? Any idea huh

Do you think that he is simply stealing everything, as he has been doing to Lagos money with his lootocracy master plan for decades?

anonimi:
Petrol should never cost more than N70 per litre, says APC

January 19, 2015

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as mere tokenism the reduction of petrol price from N97 to N87 per litre, saying the petroleum product ordinarily should sell for N70.

On Sunday, the federal government announced the reduction of petrol price, citing the fall of global crude oil price.

But the APC through Lai Mohammed, its spokesman, on Monday accused the government of making a show out of deceit, saying “a 10.3 per cent slash in the price of petrol was a mere tokenism at a time the price of crude oil has crashed by about 60 per cent”.

It argued that the pump price of a litre of petrol should not be more than 70 Naira, alleging that at N87 per litre, the government was forcing Nigerians to subsidise the massive corruption in the oil sector by N17 for every litre of fuel.

What we know and always heard is that states and lgs are the closer and closest to the citizens now Tinubu have channeled the gains from subsidies removal to states but sadly instead of using the money for the benefits of the citizens they're filtering it away and instead of people to hold them responsible every attention is on federal government.

It still shows there was no plan to cushion the effect of subsidy if the fate of the people lies with their governors. What is the govt doing for Local Govt independence.? Let's continue deceiving ourselves
Aren't you alive when Seyi makinde and other Governors were kicking against local Government autonomy? This kind of irresponsible followership is getting dangerous for the future of Nigeria even more than corrupt leadership. The more the president reduces the allocation due to the federal and pay same to State Governors the less the dumb people are holding the Governors accountable yet we are expecting magic from heaven

State governors are busy looting the money for their personal use for those that are finishing their second term tenure and for those with second term ambition they are keeping for campaign funds......

God will help masses in this country we need to shift our attention towards this governors, monitor them on how the state money being spend.

I get your point and agree partially with you. Try challenging your governor in his state as an ordinary citizen, and see what will happen to you.
Take the case of Yaya Bello for instance. Who is in charge of EFCC? Who gave him soft landing and got him of the hook?
