Brilliant reflexes, great passing ability, and consistency at Barcelona.

5. Ederson

In his prime (2015–2018), he was nearly unbeatable, saving Manchester United countless times.

7. Gianluigi Donnarumma

Well maybe you are talking about a time frame tho. But either ways, Gianluigi Buffon is the father that fathered them all.

If we go way back, you talk about Jose Luis Chilavert, Fabian Barthez (should even be the one credited with 'a playing goal keeper' tag), Jens Lehman, Edwin Van der sar, Rene Higuita, Julio Ceaser, Hugo Lloris Peter Schmeichel etc.

I think l prefer the list the way it is, albeit removing Mendy, for modern day goal keepers ranking.

Buffon is the best and he does not belong to this generation of goalkeepers. Buffon started playing for Italy and Parma back in 1997.
