drop the add-on details you are using
there are many live tv addons, But just use these addons. Daddylive, Loop, Free, sportHd. Samsung TV plus is still very good and has very rich content.
You can incorporate loop and Samsung TV plus to your Kodi pvr simple client addon. I just hope you know what am talking about

Tv.dot has every stations on the globe , you just have to choose which country you want to watch from.

Except of course the one that didn't make their server public.

I'm not even conversing about which is better , I only provided an option that's free of payment.
I just check the TV dot garden now, they are trying sha, but most of the channels there are free to air channels and channels extracted from YouTube, most of the premium channels there are not even working. Imagine in America category no HBO , even most of the SHOWTIME channels are my working,... In UK category, no Tnt, non of the sky sports channels are there, most of the sky movies are not there, no discovery channels, no Dazn .
But the garden still trying sha.

I am thinking of getting starlink residential for an office of about 23 people in Lagos. When it gets cloudy during heavy rainfall, what is the average speed or does it lose internet?

Based on my experience; average cloudy conditions or light rain, no issues.

Thunderstorm with thick clouds, it will blackout until the weather clears up.

Please why is that when I check my starlink internet speed test with fast dot com, the speed is always lower compared to when I use the starlink app to check the speed. Or it it that starlink app is inflating the speed

The Starlink app shows the speed between your dish and Starlink’s own system, while Fast.com checks speed to the wider internet, which is what you really feel when browsing.

Me, personally, I've stopped doing speed tests.
My own is that it better carry whatever I'm doing. grin

Use Ookla.

Also how do Starlink users cope with that abysmal upload?

Lol...... As long it is unlimited, we are managing it. But to be honest mtn 5G is by far more faster than starlink. But fear won't let me use mtn 5G to stream seamlessly

The MTN 5G broadband is very fast, especially if you are in an area that has 5G, although it is also blazing on 4G too.

The only advantage that Starlink has over the MTN broadband is the fact that it is Unlimited. Although the Starlink has nothing on MTN Fiber 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

Yeah, once you use uncapped internet it's hard to go back to capped plans.

Especially considering FibreX offers 150mbps for 60k a month without any hardware costs. Starlink is great too, though.

Not entirely accurate, the best way to test your speed is to connect to the nearest server. Fast.com doesn't connect to any Nigerian server. It connects to foreign servers, which impacts greatly on speed. Ookla's Speedtest.net is one tool that gives options to connect to various local servers.

The test on the Starlink app is far more accurate than fast.com.

Retired? Most people who are already using Starlink will hardly ditch it. Maybe deter new users but I don't think you can have many starlink users beings being retired. So what will they do with their device. They already know starlink, know it's reliability. To ditch and sell your Starlink that's already great for something you're not sure of, doesn't sound like a decision "many" people will jump at.

Starlink should not be carried away with all the sweet praises and accolades it receiving from Nigerians, their only major selling point is UNLIMITED. Any day they stop unlimited, they will lose massive subscribers.
Re: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by encrypt(m): 1:51pm On Aug 24, 2025
The selling point isn't just unlimited, there are other providers that offer unlimited. The real selling point is uptime. That's what no one else can compete with.

I've had my starlink for about two years and in that time I have not experienced one full day of downtime. You would hardly find any provider that can say the same, unlimited for not.
Airtel... Mtn 5g...Fibre one etc. All face down times and when it starts you'll understand the difference.

The longer you use a stellar service the less tolerance you have for anything of lesser quality.

Well, this is about one month so far for me since I started using the MTN FibereX and I am yet to experience any downtime 🤔

Service has been perfect so far.

Of course, give it some time. As long as it's fibre, you will experience extended downtimes. Sometimes, for weeks even.

Starlink doesn't give free one month subscription on shipment anymore. When I got mine in February 2023, it came with one month free subscription. At the time, the subscription is added when the kit is provisioned for your account. By the time the kit gets to you, you would still have 3 weeks to use it for free.

I don't think so, I know some guys that were giving free one month subscription last month when de bought starlink mini. Even starlink said am entitled to one free month subscription when I activate my starlink mini or after my first paid subscription expired
