Topforall:Holla Sis, when I had my son, I struggled with milk production for the 1st few weeks, but I was able to increase my lactation with diet and supplements. I used pregnacare breastfeeding and it helped. I also used fenugreek supplements but it made my baby stool so I stopped it. But diet really helped and pumping too. At some point, I bought the milk booster cookies and lactation pap also BM availability is usually based on demand and supply, so the more you pump or feed baby the more you will produce Foods that helped my production, vegetables, eggs, fish, oats, almond milk, yogurt and pap. But you see that vegetable soup did it for me and I tried to incorporate it into every meal as well as a lot of fruits oranges, apples, berries, garden egg, avocado, banana, watermelon and even pineapple. Also i believe since you have breastfeeding experience, it usually improves with each pregnancy |

humbleme99:I think with each pregnancy the muscles of uterus and belly stretches faster due to prior pregnancies, so it's normal to have bigger or more noticeable bump in a 3rd pregnancy when compared to a 1st pregnancy. Pele mama, the Lord is your strength. Happy and healthy bumping to you |

Topforall:You're right. It was even more fun in 2016 when I had my first baby. However it's obvious the current fast life has made it difficult for people to log on here or probably they have shifted attention to other social platforms. For the BF you may want to review your diet to a high protein low carb diet. I drank lots of bone broth too. This was what worked for me. |

AmakaRuby:Very normal, it's called Braxton hicks *Braxton Hicks contractions, also known as practice contractions or false labor* They are sporadic uterine contractions *The frequency of Contractions:* The timing between contractions is not regular (irregular). *The length of Contractions:* Length is uncertain. They may last from 15 seconds to a couple of minutes, and are usually not more frequent than once or twice per hour. *Location of Pain:* Usually the pain is in the front of the abdomen, like a mild menstrual pain or even painless but hard tommy. Tightening of the abdominal muscles. They can start as early as 20 weeks of pregnancy, but are more noticeable in the third trimester (close to 9 months). Resting or drinking more water can usually relieve them. The contractions may stop with changing of positions. The only way to know for sure if you're experiencing true labor is to check the cervix for dilation, which can be done by a medical professional. If you think your cervix may be dilating, or if you're experiencing any signs of labor, you should a doctor or midwife. |

princeabdul:That should be carpal tunnel syndrome, you can read about it. I had it during my previous pregnancy thankfully it was only in my right wrist though i had tingling and numbness in all my right fingers as well, (women are superheros i swear) some have it in both wrists. It will gradually go away but she needs to rest the wrist as much as possible, you can get her a wrist guard/strap to help ease the pressure and pain on the wrist some say calcium tabs will help, let her complain to her Dr, I know i was given a prescription for mine then *CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME* Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is a common condition that affects many pregnant women. It's estimated that up to 62% of pregnant women experience CTS symptoms. Causes of CTS During Pregnancy 1. *Excess fluid retention*: As you mentioned, excess water in the body can cause swelling in the wrists, leading to compression of the median nerve. 2. *Hormonal changes*: Relaxin, a hormone produced during pregnancy, can cause ligaments to relax, leading to nerve compression. 3. *Posture changes*: As the belly grows, pregnant women may experience changes in posture, leading to increased pressure on the wrists. Symptoms of CTS During Pregnancy 1. *Numbness or tingling*: In the hands, fingers, or wrists 2. *Pain or burning*: In the wrists, hands, or fingers 3. *Weakness*: In the hands or fingers 4. *Tingling or shock-like sensations*: When performing activities like driving, reading, or holding objects Managing CTS During Pregnancy 1. *Take regular breaks*: To rest your hands and wrists 2. *Maintain good posture*: To reduce pressure on your wrists 3. *Avoid bending or twisting*: Your wrists or hands 4. *Use proper ergonomics*: When working or performing activities 5. *Wear a wrist splint*: To support your wrists, especially at night 6. *Exercise regularly*: Gentle exercises like wrist extensions and flexions can help In most cases, *CTS symptoms resolve on their own after pregnancy.* However, if your symptoms are severe or persistent, consult your healthcare provider for further guidance and support. |

I gave birth on the 8th of August to my baby girl. I went for antenatal and I was already contracting, I was sent to the labor ward, was checked, and was 4cm already. I didn't feel much labour pain just like my first pregnancy. The problem I keep having is cervical tear, when the midwife checked me at 6/8 cm she said I wasn't behaving like someone who is in labour. After delivery I stood up to wee, blood everywhere. Dr came checked and saw I had tear in my cervix. She advised me not to give birth again. That two is enough, that next time I might not be lucky. She accused me of pushing before I got to 10 cm. But it was the nurse that asked me to push a d I did. So far so good I give Glory to God for saving me again from bleeding after giving birth. According to another nurse, she said my cervix is very soft that is why I do not feel much pain during labour and always have cervical tear. I don't know how true sha. I already told my husband if we decide to have more kids, no more virginal birth. So help me God. Towerofgrace: |
