This is exactly what Omo-Ibo (Landmark) did in Lagos, 29years later one Ronu will wake up to demolish his property and ask him ti return to his village..

No one remembers most of the current Lagos beach front were like this years ago until someone decides to develop it, once it's developed, we all suddenly forget it was once like this begging for attention.
You guys will always put your victim mentality and lies in everything.
Landmark was never destroyed/demolished, only the shanties that were not part of the Landmark property were demolished because of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road.

Lol..

Ogun State should be divided into two. One adminstrative office is not enough to handle such a state and it's enormous resources potential

[s]You are very correct. So much potentials, enough to decongest Lagos and make ogun state the heartbeat of yorubaland.

The heartbeat of NIGERIA. Aim bigger dummy. Or fight for Oduduwa republic. We welcome that.

Ogun state is yet to have better governor. Most of those who have been governing don't know the extent of the potentials of the state not to talk of the proximity with Lagos state, sharing border with Oyo state, sharing border with neighbouring country Benin

If the new Cargo airport is well maintained, it should serve as strategic airport for cargo exporting shipment in Southern Nigeria specifically.
Beautiful to behold.

Ogun has a lot of potential but visionary governor is needed

Same here, I was about putting a call through to my dad to help with better description to the town mentioned and it occurred to me that he died last month.
Re: Pictures Of Igbosere Beach In Ogun State by DeLaRue: 1:59pm On Aug 23, 2025
Not all ocean fronts can be a beach.

While I don't know the situation at this particular one, perhaps as a result of the location of Southern Nigeria so close to the equator, the ocean along many parts of our coast can be quite restless.

So while they are beautiful ocean fronts the restless ocean results in a lot of coastal erosion, and the volatility means very few adept swimmers (e.g some Ijaws) can swim in them. They are not suitable for ordinary tourists most times.

The erosion also means the sea eats into the land all the time, so any land within 100 metres may be under water in a few decades.

It can still be developed, but in some parts the developments have to be at least 200m metres inland to be a safe investment.

As much as I would like to give the government a hard knock, the Nigerian tourism industry is highly underfunded and undervalued.

The possibility of tourists flocking this location is not that encouraging to say the least and maintenance culture is even poor to say the least.

If places like Obudu and Tinapa can become shadow of itself, that should tell you what would become of this place in few years

You are correct, Nigerians don't like travelling far feom home for tourism. I think safety and security concerns are probable factors. Those who can afford it prefer to get on the plane and travel out of the country.

You would be surprised that middle class people in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, will not even travel to such a place in large numbers let alone those from the East or North. Even then only a few from.nearby Lagos will come.

Rich people will not even bother.

Also, whole sections of the places like that will be turned into drinking joints with shady happenings at night. Most middle class people will never take their families to such places.

Ondo and Akwa Ibom States have more beautiful ocean fronts, but no tourism.

Hopefully, the inertia about exploring tourist sites far from home will change in the future.

This should also prove to you that Tinubu deserves accolades for monitoring successive Lagos governors
You people will be talking nonsense, the same Tinubu claimed and bragged that he put Eleyi as governor of Ogun state and you people clapped for him calling him master strategist, now you are here throwing the same Eleyi under the bus to protect Tinubu's image, look at the type of people supporting Tinubu, no wonder the country is the way it is today

This is amazing, such a beauty, why haven't the governor don anything to develop and improve this beach, this is a money maker, beach houses are the most expensive houses abroad, because of the view and nature there, how can Nigeria have so much untapped resources yet remain poor,? Too bad
We are not realist in this country, we love to catch cruise over the slightest thing.
So you will actually let a governor go to such remote place to go an pump billions building so called tourist attraction. Even if he is crazy enough to do so, will you visit such place, even if one is essentric enough to do so how many others will go there to make the place viable? Bros it is lizards and wild animals that will occupy the place months after it's opening. As per real estate, let's forget about that one because only a mad man will go and build or buy property to live or rent in such place.
With reduced purchasing power and even insecurity in the land, how many families can say they want to go there for vacation? Rather people will do the normal vacation available to us here which is to enter the nearby joint, have several bottles of chilled beer, the wild animals you will see during the "vacation" is point and kill catfish in pepper soup form, bushmeat pepper soup and nkwobi, whole been entertained by oloshos.
As per that area, the good news is that dangote is proposing building a port miles from there, maybe that will bring economic opportunities.

It is not everything the state government should do. This is a job for the private sector. And, frankly, if someone hasn't built something there, it's because there's hardly any market there.
So Private sector go just rush there and start building abi?? 😁

And one day the owners of the land will come and tell the private sector that they are redefining their culture

Apart from Chief Osoba who was just a two face politician without any developmental ideas, the rest are thieves who only came to power to loot the State and use the proceeds of fraud to enlarge their businesses. When EFCC said Governors are declaring properties they intend to buy on assumption of power in their assets declaration form, it started from Ogun State.

I don't want Senator Olalekan Solomon (Yayi) as Governor at all. He is also coming to follow the footsteps of Daniel, Amosun and Dapo. He has nothing to offer the State. I prefer a professional engineer or Tech guy as the governor of the State.

The State has not been lucky to have a good Governor just as OBASANJO was a wastage to the State both as military Head of State and as Civilian President.

You don't know what you are saying. Nothing concerns you in this matter. Tinubu led the Littoral States battle against FG when he was Lagos State Governor. From Awolowo era, the South West Coastal area are well documented. The region is homogeneous despite State demarcation.

If anyone tries to run any property or project that is when the government will tell you that the beach shore is the designated route for one road project. They will demolish your property and ask you to go to court.

If you buy and read books written by the late Sage, Pa Obafemi Awolowo, GCON, you will learn the strategic reasons why these places were kept away till date wink
Ogun is not a littoral state.
It doesn't have access to the ocean rather a river that leads to the sea.
Stop being deceived, go and check your map
