Hello. Defer your admission. Even if your date magic works, your late or unprepared resumption won't work in the presence of the consular. . You are resuming in 5 days time and no date yet 😎

I can write to my school for a late resumption and request for a late resumption letter, based on date + lots of stuffs happened this year due to this new administration ...everyone can feel the changes... na just Lagos date search link group I day find Abi make I select abuja date? come apply EA, even tho na Lagos center I apply for will that work?

Everyone can feel the changes , yes but will you bring your own rule and policy of arriving late to school on the US embassy ? Every international student has one or two times of grace to differ their admissions therefore , as it stands you do not have an excuse 😎

Nevertheless, The idea of requesting a late-arrival/resumption letter to school is okay but most school will not give you more than 2 weeks of grace and some schools will decline writing such letter (based on my personal experiences). In this respect, you don't even have the letter at hand or don't you know that the visa officer will like to see it ? If your situation is real then you will eventually defer your admission.

NB: Yes you can choose btw Lagos or Abuja at the eleventh hour if that will give you a quick date but you must update your DS-160. But unfortunately, your game plan is late. 👍

You just have to keep checking the site. Dates open at different times. Available dates shows green( meaning it’s available).

My family has different interview dates the earliest being October 2025 am scared that if he gets the visa by God’s grace it may expire before the others has a chance to go for interview if the visa is just 3months

So somehow how I managed to graduate with 3.89/5, I feel this is uncompetitive for a funded Msc or PhD the GPA is well below my capacity. I'm being told that if I do a credential evaluation, it may push me to around 3.4/4.0 or 3.5/4.0 which can give me a competitive edge for Masters or PhD

I'm keenly and have already sent my credentials via my school to Spantran , how true is this please?

Hi.

Focus on getting your visas. I have not seen anyone coming out to show 3 months visa for F1. I am not even doubting the possibility again, but my standing point is that, even if you are given 1 day visa it will be sufficient for your study and travel. Did the visa officer and USCIS not see your resumption date and duration of study in your Form I-20s ? Stop worrying yourself. 👍

Its a lie. I disagree. If you attend interview on ER your visa cannot be issued until after 24/48 hrs. USCIS staffs inside the U.S embassy or electronically will still investigate your visa approval. they work outside the U. S. embassy staff circle as a private investigators on all visa approvals.

By the way, why did you not ask the lady how did she do it ? You sounded over wise , therefore your original question is not genuine. When the asker knows too much than the answerers then there is something behind it.. When you ask question it means you need help and you should expect all forms of reply. When you start arguing on points then you are not real. 👋

She got approved today and jump on flight next tomorrow. That's what you wrote up there If you had typed she picked her visa today and travel tonight then that is a commonplace scenario. 😎

How can intended Travel Date on DS-160 is just intended ? The visa officer is staring at your DS-160 in front of him or her and he or she is correlating it with your submitted Form I-20 with start of class also in front of the consular. Can you now see that your info here is to confusing and misleading on visa applicants?

Trust me, 2025 dates dropped and about 6 of us in our date group got a 2025 date, the majority of us got August, and very few got Sepetember. If your Internet isn't fast, they might have snapped it before it even shows on your portal. Your hands have to be on deck.

Do you want to go and do trial and error or how will you explain your late arrival to the consular officer ?

Lets assume that you get a date come next Friday (29th) and your visa got approved, then you should expect to finally pick up your visa let's say fastest 10th of September and you find yourself at the port of entry on the 13th. How will you explain the 15 days you have missed behind at the POE ? Mind you, this is just my assumptions of you as a student from a wealthy family otherwise you may still need additional week (s) to source for travel funds.

You must be a good negotiator to beat any visa officer when attending your visa interview after the start of class. Also don't rely on late arrival letter from your school when your lateness is over 1 - week at the port of entry. Hence, you are facing double brick Walls (embassy & port of entry). Defer your admission. 👍
