The concept of "evil" has perplexed human thought for centuries, with philosophers, theologians, and scholars of various disciplines attempting to understand its origin. The question of where evil comes from—whether it is inherent in human nature, a result of societal influences, or a force external to humanity—has given rise to a broad spectrum of theories. In examining the origin of evil, it is essential to explore the views offered by religion, philosophy, and psychology. Together, these perspectives offer a complex and multifaceted understanding of the forces that contribute to the manifestation of evil in the world.

SeraphicWind:Do you pity the Indians, Lebanese and Chinese coming to Nigeria every day? Why are you ok with foreigners coming in to steal our wealth and you have concerns about Nigerians returning to their own country? Like Chinese, I am coming primarily for investment and I believe I understand the local economy more than the Indians and Chinese. I spoke with my friend the other time and he told me Chinese are now planting casava for use in the pharmaceutical industry eason garri has become expensive. These people are not afraid to come into Nigeria, why should I. I have a foreign passport and still maintain an office out of the country while living in Nigeria. I have said it over again, not everyone in the country is facing the same hardship, I know people who have become multi-millionaires in Nigeria in the past three years. |

Nnamdipapa:Dear Sir, This thread is to alert all that their is danger. Let us stop encouraging Nigeria's leaders to think that all is well. How many average Nigerians can afford that flight ticket? Even the so called rich are finding it hard to stay afloat. In response to your claims about foreigners coming to Nigeria to invest; those Indians, Chinese and Lebanese you see are not normal Indians, Chinese and Lebanese oo. Oga Sir, I know what I am telling you. They are not the average Indians, Chinese and Lebanese. Those small businesses you see them doing are camouflages. That is their cover. You can doubt this. But I would like to inform you that those "investors" have muti-billion dollar resource-extraction mandates from their governments! Many of them work hand in hand with many state governments in Nigeria I believe. They are there to extract resources at coat throat rates. Sir, have you ever wondered why items on Temu and Aliexpress are super cheap? It is because the cost of logistics is heavily subsidised by the government of China! They are on a mission to take-over world markets from SMES to large scale enterprises. Do you honestly believe you can compete with thr Chinese and Lebanese in any endeavour in Nigeria? Chinese that government backed trillion dollar subsidies supporting them? You see that Cassava and you are talking about? The Chinese will make it and sale it at loss! They don't care. You know why? Their aim is control! They wouldn't mind wasting all their dollars to take over the food supply chain of the biggest African country. This will make them extremely influential. Look at Nigerian traditional banking system. Almost dead and collapsed. Forget the numbers they churn. Many are fake. Opay and many fintechs owned by China are actually on a mission to take over Nigeria's financial operations. But many are oblivious of this fact. |
| Re: On The Origin Of Evil by Sirianese: 11:27pm On Aug 23, 2025 |
Lebanese vampires won't rest until they suck Nigeria's life-blood dry What people don't know is that genetically most of these Lebanese are actually Jews; and food for thought: all through the medieval period the Jews were expelled from every growth-oriented country in Europe America rose to power and neglected to guard her ramparts against the scourge of Jewry and the result is complete enslavement to the Satanic agenda of radical semitism....we all know what happened to the two Kennedys |
| Re: On The Origin Of Evil by Nnamdipapa(m): 11:35pm On Aug 23, 2025 |
SeraphicWind:You see where you are going? I am seriously unhappy that Chinese are going to take over Nigeria Fintech sector while people like you paint a very gloomy picture about Nigeria to people abroad. You forget some of us lived in Nigeria and understand the system for more that 20 years. There is no Chinese government supporting Chinese entrepreneurs in Nigeria. No evidence to show for such a claim. Now, I will ask a sincere question, do you think solution to Nigeria's problem is for everyone to run away and never return to the country again? Do you think it is only the leaders that can fix Nigeria, and the citizens have no role to play? Common man, Nigeria remain my country, and I am very proud to Identify as a Nigerian, I want to be able to thrive and succeed within Nigeria so I can show myself as an example to fellow diasporans who are skeptical about returning. With my foreign passport, I consider myself a second-class citizen and minority here and I am not afraid of failures or death. I count the cost and take measured risks and, Nigeria will be the only country we have at the moment and in the end, I want to be able to say, I tried my best. |

In my opinion, it's part of a ploy to make Nigerians more productive...at these prices, you only travel for productive reasons, not the travel-on-a-whim we had when return flights were 30k to Abuja from Lagos. Unfortunately, like all such plans, there are second and third order effects now in play. SeraphicWind: |

I feel some of una pain, even to enter night bus go village back from Lagos is bank breaking for most of you,I don’t know why billionaires are complaining about flight costs when they claimed they are not affected by the economic situation of the country. |
| Re: On The Origin Of Evil by DeLaRue: 12:09am On Aug 24, 2025 |
The flight ticket issue is more about the airlines extorting flyers. Less to do with government. Let's do the maths, real exchange rate is at most 3 times what it was as of early 2023. Yet, domestic flight ticket prices have gone up between 6 and 8 times what they were in 2023. It's the airlines. |

SeraphicWind:I despise you lot and your knack for always attacking or criticizing one another based on tribal affiliation and sentiments. However, I have this very poignant question to pose to you. "Who owns Airpeace, what region is he from, and how has his ownership benefitted air transportation to/from his region/people"? For instance, check the fare rate to Anambra/Imo from Abuja/Lagos and compare same with Abuja to Lagos and vice versa. Waiting patiently on your response. |

| Re: On The Origin Of Evil by Nobody: 4:26am On Aug 24, 2025 |
Nnamdipapa:I love your passion and drive about Nigeria Sir. But I honestly doubt that the country called Nigeria will ever work. Absolutely impossible. Smaller countries with people of similar drive and passion may work. But you see the current Nigeria with those 4 major tribes? They can never work together. Absolutely impossible. And this is why Nigeria can never work. It has nothing to do with tribalism or nepotism. It is all about trying to mix oil with water. Tigers, Lions, Leopards and Hyenas can never work together. You know why? They are all PREDATORS. They all hunt game without a regard if the ECOSYSTEM is dying. The Predators are the 4 Major Tribes. The games are the natural resources and other minority tribes. The ECOSYSTEM is NIGERIA. Note: The bolded in your comment touched me in a special way. Many Africans abroad are passing through hell. Even the successful ones. They always live in fear because no matter how far they go in life, they are still considered seventh-class citizen and minority. In some cases, animals like dogs and cats have higher rankings than some blacks in the West. ![]() |

DeLaRue:And the said airlines don't have control? So they now have the power to inflate prices without any cause? I am waiting for you people to start blaming Britain for giving us independence because I know its coming with the rate you people are going now. You don't want the airlines to increase prices when their running cost is going through the roof due to bad policies of this government. How much were they buying aviation fuel in 2023 and how much are they buying it now? What about taxes? |

SeraphicWind:U see those people supporting Tinubu ehhh, they feel he is doing well, destroying every fabric of our society with his staggered policies by impoverishing the livelihood of the people terribly. Every day, people are falling into one form of poverty or the other because of one wicked president and they want us to keep quiet. I am not affected by his policies though, but when I see people selling their cars, assets just to feed is very painful and ugly. The average people have completely fell into an unspeakable poverty. People are now aggressively mal-nourished because of numerous bad govt policies against the masses of this country. For those who feel everyone should be poor because they hate igbos or Edo or Hausa people, note that u are digging ur grave...what affects one person affects all. |
| Re: On The Origin Of Evil by flokii: 9:04am On Aug 24, 2025 |
I honestly don't like how the FG is allowing airlines reap Nigerians off their hard earned money.. Airfare from Abuja to Lagos shouldn't be more than 60 - 80k (considering current realities on ground). How will you place over 400k on flight within Nigeria?. Trip of about 1h15m, how??. PBAT should look into cross-border marshals just like the FRSC that'll be on constant patrol with strategic stations on all our highways to make our highways more secured for travellers, pending when speed trains across Nigeria will become fully operational. This absurdity with airline travel can't continue, it's a dangerous economic trend that shouldn't be allowed to stand. Will Airpeace for instance enter UK and US avaition market and be placing unreasonable prices on airfares to Nigeria without facing sanctions from the Government of those countries?. Definitely not. Soon airfare from Lagos to Abuja will be higher than airfare from Accra, Ghana to London (that's if it hasn't happened already). |
