Nigerians in the south have this silly impression that the north is a hellhole of terrorism and banditry, a place where life is a living hell. But unknown to them, the north is developing fast.... ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOf7AG1BApQ |

Kaduna has always been a political powerhouse for Northern Nigeria.. the presence of many State owned institutions, military formations etc. gives credence to that fact. Kaduna is a place where you can live and be working in neighboring Cities like Abuja, Kano.. as far as you can time yourself well. The Kaduna to Zaria to Kano expressway stretching after the Kawo bridge is really a gamechanger. This is what we want for every part of Nigeria, development and economic progress not terrorism or religious fanatism. |

Nigerians in the south have this silly impression that the north is a hellhole of terrorism and banditry, a place where life is a living hell. Op, next time, don’t generalize! Which Nigerians are you referring to? Do you know how many southerners living in KD? Kaduna & Kano nah big states o! |

You're looking at the midas touch of Elrufai. He did it in Abuja and did it in Kaduna. Kaduna is a more affordable mini-version of Abuja. Cool ambience, exquisite infrastructure improved upon by Elrufai in his urban renewable transformation. The quality of living in Kaduna is certainly better than many states in Nigeria. Kaduna is definitely top 5 and not number 5. Travel and see. Uba Sani's only job was just to maintain the standard of cleanliness set by Elrufai, but sadly, he's failing in that task after disbanding the Kaduna Metropolitan Authority. |

flokii:Mmm Going to work in Abuja daily from kaduna. I've never heard of that one. I know of people going from suleja, keffi, to Abuja daily but isn't kaduna too far for a Monday to Friday work schedule. |

OneCandleAway:There's the Kaduna-Abuja modern train service that makes this a breeze. A lot of people commute to Abuja daily from Kaduna. |

The only state that is more developed in SW than kaduna is lagos |

OneCandleAway:I've seen cases like that (but not sure if it's everyday they go to work), especially those who have their personal house in Kaduna, they either travel by road or join the train Sunday evenings and return to Kaduna Friday evening. |

flokii:Going home weekends is different from daily commute from kaduna to Abuja. It's going to be stressful. It might even be more stressful than lokoja to Abuja. I wonder if there are people that can play this one daily. I've seen someone living around ojodu area in lagos go to abeokuta daily at a point. He leaves early. |

OneCandleAway:Initially, it might look stressful for newbies.. but for those that are already used to it, I don't think it can be as stressful. From Kaduna, I go as far as Zaria, Kano, Katsina (North West), though occasionally, but I can't say it's that stressful. Some people will definitely endure. |

OneCandleAway:Don't mind the Op to be yarning dust Even people staying outskirts at town like Zuba, gwagwalada e.t.c can feel the stress going to work from those locations talk more of Kaduna. Assume Abuja city is located near the boundary of Kaduna it would have been better. Spending like 2hrs 30min every day to get to abuja and another 2 hours to return home. Will the person have strength again to go work the next day. Most Offices are located at Maitama and Central Area, that's far from kaduna. |

Bendeco02:It's possible, let me shock you Alot of people in lagos spend those hours everyday in traffic while going to work. |
| Re: Wow!! I Never Knew Kaduna Was This Beautiful.. (Video) by Bendeco02: 12:24pm On Aug 24, 2025 |
sheddo619:Lagos is not big compared to Abuja just that it has a lot of traffic. Abuja roads/express are always free and wide yet you will spend @ least 2hrs from kaduna to Abuja city |

Looks like California. I have said it before and will always say it... IF Nigeria were to be intact...the Northern Nigeria will be the most expensive part of Nigeria to reside in. IF only they can manage their religious intolerance to others. They can only do this through widespread education but such is far fetched & frowned at. The North is very very very very beautiful. I lived in Jigawa for a few years before kissing Nigeria goodbye, the North is the only region in Nigeria that comes closes to the beauty I witness abroad in terms of landscape and esthetics. |

Bendeco02:Most of the people I know that live in Kaduna and work in Abuja are called weekend husbands. They travel to kd every Friday to stay with their family and return to abj on Sunday evening or Monday morning. You can't be loving in Kaduna and be working in Abuja , even if you stay in mandala or Kaduna road. E no easy at all |

Streetinvestor2:Kids the first train from kd to Abuja leaves 7 in the morning, how on earth will someone leave kd by 7 and get to work in Abuja on time ? A journey of 2 hours 30 minutes ? Even my colleagues that works at FMC in keffi find it extremely difficult to commute between karu and keffi daily and you are talking about a whole Kaduna that is far far away? I have an office in Zaria, keffi and Abuja and I find this very strange. You kids just stay in your landlocked states and start telling people to leave their states lol. Kids. |

Streetinvestor2:Meabwhile,Southeast has None! Mind you,Lagos is a conurbation of many cities.compare kaduna to Ikeja or lekki not Lagos. By the way, kaduna can't lace Ibadan shoe...Kaduna is a one eye man in the city of the blinds(The North) |

flokii:oga drop the lies. There is no way you can commute from kaduna to Abuja everyday. Shey na craze? Even with train you can't do that everyday. Do you even know the distance between Abuja and Kaduna. Yes there are people that work in abuja who are kaduna residents but they mostly travel to Abuja on Sundays and come back on Fridays. |
