A friend of mine sells fashion accessories and is thinking about creating a website with an online store. I think she should start by growing her audience on social media first.

How can she get people to visit her website? Is it too early to make a website since it can be expensive? What are the benefits of having a website now? Also, how does growing a business on a website compare to growing it on social media?

Having the website first doesn't stop her from growing her page, you could pull traffic from the website to her social media pages same vice versa, I would suggest she does both together that's how it grows.

Shows up on search engine, link easier to share, no limitation, promote the website with ur social page attached

Your domain name, hosting and payments collection should be the biggest worry for website owners not traffic really. But I know why you are concerned about traffic which also applies to other online media like your socials. However if you do it right in a couple of years your posts begin to rank and your website will continue to make sales fully automated which is not possible with your socials. This is organic traffic I have been laying out. Paid traffic is a lot easier.
As for paid traffic you can do different types of Ads to start pulling in traffic from day one.
Socials can't relapse websites. If you need a modern site that you don't have to pay for yearly hosting and comes with Stripe setup to receive payments, then you can chat me for details.

Can you insert your codes on your socials ?
