This is simply not true. Without technology there is simply no way to feeding the Earth's population in a hundred years from now.

The options will either be to starve or willingly forgo some staples such as beef which is one of the most inefficient and wasteful to produce.

Nature has and will always be self-sustaining as long as we obey simple law of nature. For example, as long as the earth remains seed time and harvest time will not cease.Also the animal kingdom is self-sustaining as long we allow them to live the way God has made them. I see no reason in making artificial butter when God has created cows that we can rear to give us enough milk for butter why not invest in rearing more animals organically if we feel that we are running low on cows.I am convinced that the best way to feed our body is to give it what comes from the ground since that is where our bodies came from. Messing up with nature in the name of science will only end up in problems. I am a scientist and I support innovations and scientific breakthrough, however let us not include altering biological algorithm in the name of science. It is folly in simple terms
