All my life in Nigeria, we never have to refrigerate fresh eggs. Even in the UK, eggs are never refrigerated but US and Canada have some of the most genetically modified foods in the world.
The eggs are refrigerated because they are washed. When you wash eggs, you remove the outer biofilm on it that usually prevents bacteria from getting into the egg. Now it has to be refrigerated for freshness. Organic or inorganic can be left unrefrigerated as long as it’s unwashed. Has nothing to do with genetic modification or inorganic compounds.

Obviously I’m Nigerian, have spent considerable time in Canada, live in America and now live in Europe. Organic food is just as available in America and Canada as it is in other continents.

In fact California is obsessed with organic foods. Nigeria doesn’t even compare. Not with the Nigerian farmers doing all they can to stay afloat. Have you seen the amount of chemical fertilizers they use? What do you think all those NPKs are? What about the pesticides? They’re chemicals.

Btw All Chemicals are not bad (Even you as a human you’re made up of chemicals) but Nigerian farmers use a whole truck load of them. They also give their chickens antibiotics to prevent them from dying.

Just so you know what you’re eating. If you didn’t grow it yourself, you can’t vouch for it.

God bless you my brother. Some people want us to believe that Nigeria is héll fire not realizing lots of things are affordable. I pay for one month what I would pay for a one year duplex in Nigeria
Oga come back come work for here nobody ask you to go do comparison for there.

I have my tickets for the end of the month already. Nigeria is fun, my friend. You need to learn how to survive and thrive in the system. Nigeria is overall cheaper for me from my research.
Yes, you are right. Nigeria is fun. so what are you looking for there. Just relocate back home and find a way to thrive in the system here you will enjoy it. i promise you.

Nnamdipapa:
Take out your mortgage or rent, taxes, car insurance, home insurance, property taxes, huge utility bîls, heating and water and tell me what remains of your $2000. Most are probably gone within the first week of pay.
All this yapping will not here you I will only take you serious if you say you are no longer going back there.

Does not work that way in real life, most have multiple sources of income and I don't see anyone surviving on 70k a month.
Is there any job in Nigeria? If you ever see any job in private sector, you have to work your ass out which means you won't have time for an extra work.

My brother and sisters are all in Nigeria. I have friends in Nigeria who are doing very well. What is your point exactly
My point is that Nigeria is not working at least for now. I pray I travels out of this country ASAP.

Nnamdipapa:
Welcome back grin

Deport ke, I am leaving next weekend to my beautiful Nigeria and I cannot be deported because I am a citizen.

I am deporting myself after realizing most people live a miserable life here.

Why do you think most people are obese and diabetic in the US? Most foods abroad are serious junk foods and, we eat way better in Nigeria. Even the fruits here have been genetically modified with little benefits and more sugar.
You don't know how good you have it until you lose what you have.
It is not only in these they are getting diabetes. Here people are getting it

These lifestyle chronic silent killer diseases are rising rapidly in Nigeria.

Ok, today I was out to do an oil change and decided to branch by my favorite Afghani store where I usually buy provisions when in the vicinity. Now, I came across an organic crate of egg for $16.99, 30 medium sized eggs in a crate.
Now, I remembered I spoke with a friend in Lagos last week who priced a similar crate of egg at 6000Naira, Yes ! you heard me right! 6000Naira! Folks in Nigeria do not know how good they have it Living in Nigeria so next time you complain about Nigeria, remember a fresh organic crate of egg goes for N6000 and things are way cheaper in Nigeria compared to the western countries.

So, there is something that should make one happy living in Nigeria
I am waiting on pins and needles for the minimum wage crew.
This is annoying, try comparing the minimum wage in Nigeria to the one over there.

Stop this unnecessary comparison, it's annoying.

Lived in Nigeria for more than 25 years and never earned minimum wage. Lots of people in Nigeria earn more than the minimum wage. Rather, using purchasing power would be more appropriate than always talking about minimum wage.

it's not as straight forward as that. Many people in Nigeria do not even earn up to the minimum wage. And those who do are affected by inflation. In fact inflation affects everyone. Prices appear low here compared to where you live presently but then you have to factor in purchasing power.

Have you lived and spent money outside Nigeria? If you have not, then I am better informed than you on the subject and know what I am talking about.
I have spent money outside Nigeria, but I haven't lived outside Nigeria. You been better informed or deformed has not to do with the methodology used or unused for your alleged survey or phantom research.

I wish. This has nothing to do with wether you are right or I'm wrong. It's about creating an understanding that the systems been discussed in the topic are totally and outrightly different, hence should be not be treated has been the same. That's the bone of contention.

I know they are totally different, I have immersed myself in the two systems and learnt a lot.
What I wrote about will work 100% for me because I already know my expenses and income.
I am not a salary earner so minimum was does not apply to me in any way.
I am not looking down on salary earner by any account and my submission in the original post is relative to my situation which I know I will do very well in Nigeria.

I have no business with a grown adult who is satisfied to earn N70,000 per month but overall Nigeria is the next big thing for investments.
Before you argue with me, know that my situation and yours will be different and the big mistake I see people make on NL is to erroneously believe everyone in Nigeria is passing through the same situation.
I am also not discouraging anyone from travelling but I hate people that complain all the time without trying to proffer solutions.
