I'm starting a real airline in Nigeria.

This thread will document every single step — from CAC to NCAA to branding, trademarks, aircraft, regulatory approvals, funding, and first flights.

Why am I building this in public?
- To lay the foundation for what may become the first open-source airline — everything will be shared except what must remain classified for legal or safety reasons.
- To stay accountable — every step of the way, I’ll drop an update. First comment of the week (from Sunday 00:00) gets ₦10,000 airtime or transfer.
- Because I want people to tell me I can’t do it — that fuels me.
- To build around potential users, not just investors or regulators.
- To ask for help — from people smarter than me.
- Because the person reading this might be my next crew member, partner, or promoter.
- And to open up a working template for anyone else crazy enough to try this too.

Even if I don’t show up, your comments will always bring me back.

I’ll stay anonymous for now. I want the story to stand on its own. No flex. Just execution.

Follow along. Learn. Doubt. Build yours.

I hope this message finds you well.

With a strong background in computer networking, solution architecture, and hands-on problem solving, I’d love to offer my support in any volunteer capacity you may need during your startup and other phase. I'm confident I can bring value to your team, whether it’s through technical assistance, strategic input, or operational support.

Please let me know if there are any available roles or areas where I can contribute.

Looking forward to the opportunity to collaborate.

Congrats.
I'd like to share a suggestion based on the earlier discussions in this thread.

It seems that providing a full tour package directly through the airline might not be feasible. However, what if we explored the possibility of creating complementary services that work alongside the airline—services that naturally encourage or require the use of that airline?

Let me give an example: Similar to how OPay launched Okada services to drive adoption of its payment platform, we could develop related services that enhance travel and make the airline the preferred or default choice.

Are there opportunities to build services—like curated experiences, logistics support, or regional partnerships—that integrate closely with the airline and add value for travelers?

Would love to hear your thoughts or if anyone is already exploring something similar.

Hello everyone,

First off, apologies for the delay in sharing this, Getting started as taken us a bit longer than planned.

That said, I’m excited to announce that the Aircacao Business Plan is now live on GitHub as an open repository 🎉
👉 https://github.com/Aircacao/Business-Plan

This means anyone can now read, improve, and contribute directly to the plan, whether it’s refining the market analysis, tightening the strategy, or even just fixing typos and formatting.

Incentive for contributors:
The top 5 contributors (by quality and impact) will collectively share 0.5% equity in Aircacao. It’s our way of recognizing that great ideas and improvements that can come from anywhere or anyone.

We’ve set up:

- A clear Contributing Guide : https://github.com/Aircacao/Business-Plan/blob/main/CONTRIBUTING.md
- A Code of Conduct: https://github.com/Aircacao/Business-Plan/blob/main/CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md (to ensure collaboration stays positive and productive).

Please feel free to jump in, fork the repo, share feedback here, or open issues directly on GitHub.

We’re building an airline in public and this is the next step in making it truly collaborative.

Thanks for your patience and continued interest.
