You have written 80 books? That already sounds like you were spamming Amazon.
Stop thinking too much. 80books don't mean i everything is a long content like me writing 8 long books or novels. Most are series, some are low content such as journals, jotters etc.

I spread out to many niches.

Honestly. Nothing beats that. Social media platforms is even worse. I've seen so many IG vendors and Twitter influencers lament about their accounts.

Sorry for what happened, but KDP, in their mail to you here gave reasons why your account was banned. However, rate of your publication is too fast to say the truth. I'm a writer too and publishing on some other platforms, though I also KDP account but haven't published with them yet. Never mind bro, your ink will never dry.

What did you write about?
What is your niche?

You started even before sapa era.
Yes oh, I am one of the early birds in most money making methods people are doing today. I can say this with confidence.

I wrote mostly about relationship, alternative health tips, alternative medicine tips, money making tips and tourism topics about Africa and Nigeria.

My writing, blogging and Youtube content creation really helped me survive my struggling years after university and shortly after nysc. Unfortunately my YouTube channel have been permanently banned from monetization.

If I knew writing and publishing books online would earn me the kind of passive income it does now, I would have written and published at least 100 books back then when my brain was still functioning well when it comes to writing lol.

I advice every youth to learn to create contents and put them out there, as many as possible now. Make sure they are original and informative and you maybe building yourself a lifetime stream of income

you cannot get sales with those type of books or topics.

If you want to make sales on kdp, think like the readers.

The readers are mostly from US, Europe, UK, Asia, etc, so ask yourself what topic readers from these aforementioned countries would love to read about?

It must be something relevant and unique to those audience, if not you will struggle to make a sale.

Also blogging will help you if you start blogging about your topics and adding links of your kdp books in your blog posts to refer people back to your books. It worked for me back then.

There are many other methods to increase your sales
Do you teach / guide someone to start blogging?

Kdp Amazon is no longer what it used to be. The frequency of account termination has been alarming in recent time. I have been on kdp platform as a publisher since 2017, my account was terminated early this year, but later got reinstated.

The reason given for my account termination revolves around my book title which Amazon says might be mistaking for a physical product.
I appealed the termination stating that the title of my book clearly stated it's "A GUIDE" which shows that it's a manual and not a physical product. My account was reinstated.

Most likely reason the account in question was terminated might be the frequency in publishing activities. The bot might see it as spamming the system.

You can still earn from your ebooks if you are sure you own them completely and not copied from copyrighted materials.

If you want to still earn from those books you wrote, and you are sure they are 80% your original work, I can guide you on how and where to publish them again and even make more sales than you made on Amazon.

But before you proceed, reflect back and check if you did anything wrong or used any shady method during your writing process.

I speak because I started publishing on Amazon kdp as far back as in 2012/2013 and I have been earning constant passive income from there, and three of my books made bestseller at some period and my account have never been banned or had issue but instead kdp have invited me several times to turn my Kindle books to paperback.

So there is something you did, think deeply

Self discipline is key to success.

80books in 3yrs?

Amazon does not need greedy “authors.”

Reasons for the ban had been well spelt out.
Conscience is an open wound, only the truth can heal it.

80 books in 3 years?

Haaba.

It obviously the whole books or writing is AI generated and low quality.
(My thoughts) Not an accusation please.

I also read a comment that says, this is an attack on Nigerians .

Haba, where is your conscience?

How do you write 80 books in 3years?

Ask people in academic or creative writing, what it means to write quality paper or journal.

So sad we always act as a victim when it's obvious that we have done the wrong thing

80 books, series, or journals in 3 years?

Habaa now.. You are the one spamming Amazon

He is doing low content/no content books. So not full books. Journals, empty notebooks, etc. You can easily "write" 80 books with such.
Re: Reflection On My Amazon KDP Journey And Ban by einsteine(m): 12:20am On Aug 25, 2025
To avoid bans, avoid low or no content books, extremely obvious use of AI and poorly though copycat books. KDP is not as easy as when I started in 2012 but if you are delivering a good product, you will still get something. Unfortunately, most Nigerians are about the Hustle. They are not doing KDP because they are good writers or publishers who know good writing, they are doing it because they want to earn some money. So you see people publishing all sorts of nonsense.
Re: Reflection On My Amazon KDP Journey And Ban by MrCaesar: 12:25am On Aug 25, 2025
80 books in three years. Please, what were you writing?
There must had been too many complains related to your books. A lot of Nigerians plagiarize some pages in people's work and put them out as their own book. I've seen many doing it, and they tell you they've books on Amazon. In as much as I sympathize with you, there's no way an author writing good books, following the right process, can publish 80 books in three years.

Nope. I have written most of this books earlier especially in 2020 during covid 19 because i got a lot of inspiration so most are just draft.

So when i registered with Amazon kdp in 2022 all i needed to do was refine, edit and proofread the book. Some are divided into part 1 to 5 in order not to be too long.

After the ban i replied to Amazon for a review. Showing all evidence that i didn't break any terms but it went on deaf ears. I asked them ti show me the particular thing i did that caused thw ban but they refused.
Were you making up to $1,000 a month? Or even $500?

The income would have been residual.
Re: Reflection On My Amazon KDP Journey And Ban by online4business: 2:58am On Aug 25, 2025
I hate it when Nigerians generalize, 80 books in 3 years is even to low.

The key to writing fast is in following a template.

Here's the problem most people 99.9% don't have any template to follow.

Dale Carnegie has a template (the best)

Dan Kennedy has a template(structure) he writes to…

Can you show me any copywriter on the planet that has more content than Dan Kennedy….none.

Th guy has a newsletter, mastermind, gkic, magnetic marketing, marketing to the affluent, small business coaching group and he's also publishing books.

All these he wrote himself for more than ten years…so the template works.

If you don't have a template then it'll take you long hours even months to write a book.

When you can do it in weeks. This is even before AI era.

This is what I hate about Nigerian they don't learn from “successful ‘’ authors.

Dean kootz write to structure and he has lots of books writing in weeks google.

Dean kootz and Stephen King are pair but Stephen always start from a blank sheet or write from experience.

Guess who makes more money overall?.

Influential writing by Dan Kennedy shows his template, and anyone can do it too.

Fun fact

Even without AI I was writing one blog post a day following the income school model.

The nigga yapping about being in kdp since 2012 is not making any money.

Kdp invite him to do a paperback pleaseeeees.

If you're making money on kdp you can't stop publishing.

Rather you'd find a way to open another account. And even get an LLC ACCOUNT SO YOU'RE PUBLISHING FROM THE US.

Kdp terminated my account in 2023 it was the best decision of my life.

HERE'S how it changed my life.

Now I've figured how Google works, wrote content to my true believers.

This got me an American babe, I got through my blog.

Got a Gambia and Uganda passport legitimately ( Uganda own was the easiest. I now travel around the world.

Blogging gave me what kdp cannot give me, even Google update is not my problem.

Here's why.

I've a cult following in the diabetes niche all thanks to following Dan Kennedy influential writing system.

Why others chase ranking, I was strategic on how to own customers for life.

AI can write and most fools use AI to write but they are not interested in making the person they write to believe.

If you can read expert secret by Russel Bronson he has a template there.

Let me drop a nugget

Here's a secret not to get refunds on your books, but you can also use it in other aspects of publishing YouTube videos etc

Encourage people dreams
Justify their failure
Confirm their inner beliefs (the power of I'm right, if you do only this well you'll have a friend for life.
Help throw rocks at their enemies (everyone is engaged in one way or the other in a struggle)
No movement ever rises without a devil.

Study trump he's successful and have been successfully doing the devil thing…every time he has a devil that must be blamed.

Here's an example, and you can do it now and see the response.

Millions of overweight people don't want to accept any blame. tell them it's not their fault? And see what happens.

Tell them it's the fault of the food companies who put too much sugar and addictive that's making them fat.

Tell them it's the fault of the government who allow too much sugar in our food and drink.

I can go on and on but you've to have many devil so you can effortlessly influence people.

You can't tell them it's their fault. You'd be shooting yourself in the foot.

A warning to anyone looking for a mentor on nairaLand.

Make sure the person is making money ( good money) no be audio money ooo.

In this life many people know how to make money but almost all are broke.

Their idea of making money is for you to give them money…that's how they make their money.

And when you see someone please follow them like say you dey follow pus.sy.

The era of generic writing is over since everyone and their brother can write with AI.

No pm I don't answer pm.

Attached is my earning for the last 3 months, and this account has been active for the last 4 years. I did my first publication on the 1st of April 2021, with no significant result or sales to show.

The account was dormant until last year February that I met a mentor, who put me through and since then it has be thousands of dollars monthly.

From my many years of experience, here are the reasons Amazon could block an account:

1. Inconsistency: By inconsistency I mean writing on different niches in one account. Today, cookbook, tomorrow, mental health, next tomorrow parenting. Doing this shows you are a writer not an author, and what Amazon needs are authors.

2. You have infringe on trademark keywords. The reality is that you can write on any keywords, even if it is trademarked, but with a twist, which you must learn how to do.

3. infringing Copyright on images ( very serious). To this I totally avoid writing books with images

4. High refund rate. Most publishers don't even know or border to check what is their refund rate. Usually, you archive book with high refund rate no matter how sweet the sales appear than Amazon doing that for you. Doing that for you leads to account termination

5. Then producing low quality contents, which usually leads to high refund rate. Even if you are using AI, there is a skill to make you book one of the best, if not the best in any niche.

If you can develop the right skill, Amazon is a life changer for anyone.

Where you resides matters a lot. I live in canada and authors in america and North America are prioritized.I have published 230 books this year alone. You must follow all guidelines,

The op must have copied other authors material or infringement of image copyright or publishing low contents.

Their was a time i had too many low contents materials. If I was in Africa they would have terminated my account . But what they did was to remove all the low contents and didn’t approve my new publications for 6months. After that they started approving it again. Also I don’t focus much on kdp here , my focus is audiobooks. That’s a lifetime listener’s royalty right there. Nigerian residents are not being accepted for Audiobook publishing as we speak maybe that will change.

Also authors should list their books on google play. It’s easy and free . We also use kobo here in canada and some other platforms.

Also authors should make sure they have their own personal website. I built my personal website as shown in pic and have my books listed on it . It was free for me because I am a developer. I use Wordpress and WooCommerce and integrate stripe payment. You can do the same in Africa using paystack.

Like I said earlier location matters when it comes to some policies in US . When I was in nigeria I applied for Adsense they kept rejecting me.

Immediately I built my bookstore website I applied for Adsense here in canada despite all book descriptions on other website and images everywhere, they approved Adsense within 6 hours.

May God change Africa since the leaders has failed.
Enough of the victim mindset. African publishers are making it big on KDP. You just have to offer undeniable quality. Over there (U.S., Canada), you might be mediocre and still make big bucks (still not that much though considering living costs). But if you're mediocre as a creative African, it's only a matter of time before the other shoe drops.

Yes I have been given options on kdp to turn some of my kdp books to paperback, is there anything funny there?
Do you want me to show you a proof with a screen shot of my kdp account?
For your information, I started writing from when I was in Primary school and started monetizing my writing around 2009 via blogging on some foreign platforms where we earned via affiliate links inserted on our articles.
You won't understand lol
It's not a big deal for Amazon to send you a message to publish your ebooks on paperback. It's a normal thing, because FYI paperbacks sell waaaaaay more than ebooks. Even if you have made no single dollar, Amazon would still prompt or message you to make a paperback version of your ebook just after you publish your ebook. So don't try to make it look like it's an executive message they send only to people who make thousands of dollars.
