The full name is amazon kindle publishing kdp.

What is a kindle device? Its a tablet very flat like phone used for reading ebooks. So ebooks are read on kindle tablet.
Over 2 million books are on kdp amazon since it started.
How do I make money?
Upload your books as a writer.
We have the eBook version for those who want to read your book
And the paperback version for those who feel they need a hard copy.

How do I make money?
Amazon pays you seventy 70% of the price of your books .
You can price your books between $ 2.99 and 9.99$

So when you upload the book, you have to set the price you want.
My eBook is 2.99
I usually do eBook and paperback for the same title
How?

Upload the Microsoft word document first
After approval by amazon, 24 hours

You will see create the paperback version (Click on it)
Then fill the info and download a PDF file for the back cover. I will show you how in a moment.

Then upload the same manuscript. (Msword doc) as earlier done.
Follow the process and choose 70% royalty

yes and no. Only 50% of the work can be done on phone. So do that like registration on kdp and payoneer. Type your children story on phone.
So yes . the remaining 50% like book cover , editing, adding images. Are all system stuff.
But its your choice anyway
