The way many Nigerians behave is mindboggling. What's the meaning of this? How hard is it to just do you job and leave it at that? How many of her colleagues did she see doing this? Until the company or customer sue her and she looses her job, it's then that her eye go clear. That delivery person lives a better quality of life than any Nigerian making ₦1million naira per month. Only a tiny sliver of Nigerians earn more.

And it gets better. I found something out in the last month or so. Many delivery and taxi people are starting to use electric cars. Guess what? There's lots of FREE CHARGING stations in the USA provided by government, charities and non-profits. Basically FREE FUEL for driving.

The thing gives a big jolt to their profits. Anyway you only know what you know.

My basic analysis taken from FACTUAL INFORMATION

ABO banking officer in Nigeria needs 2 years banking experience and a university degree to get hired and starts at ₦800K/month. Getting a university degree in Nigeria for most takes at least 5 or 6 years.

Equivalent banker with university degree in North Carolina, USA starts at $24/hr .

Nurse Aide (Nyash Cleaner) in North Carolina, USA needs a 3 month technical school certificate and starts at $22/hr or $2600/month after tax.

Conversion rate is $300 = ₦500K, very easy to save for an ILLEGAL immigrant working as a cook, nyash cleaner or security guard or uber driver. Just an hour ago I watched a HAIR BRAIDER collect $150 cash for 4 hours of work at home.

Between the Nigerian ABO and the USA Nyash Cleaner, which of the two lives a BETTER QUALITY of LIFE right now.....access to water, electricity, good roads and transport services, clean air and healthcare? Which one feels safer going out at night?

Which one has a standard 8 hour workday? ABO will likely be doing at least 10 to 12 hours per day or 60 hours a week for that salary, while Nyash Cleaner will get paid $33/hr for any work over 8 hours per day.

Who will save more NAIRA after 3 or 10 years? Oga Gerrard, does PPP matter in that calculation No it doesn't !

Is it LIKELY the Nyash Cleaner will remain in that same job after 10 years? As in which economy provides more econcomic OPPORTUNITY?

That delivery person will likely climb UP the skills ladder and get better economic roles in the future, it's VERY likely. I myself came to the USA on BORROWED MONEY and started life as a fast food cook at $4/hr, today I'm in the middle class USA middle class, that's REAL LIFE and it's been the same for 30 to 40 people I know that migrated here around the same time as me. Such economic mobility is much harder to achieve in Nigeria.

Nigeria became the Poverty Capital of the World in 2018, so it's no surprise most businesses in Nigeria are not doing well and haven't been doing well in the past 10 years. That's simply THE FACTS, businesses are shutting down all over the place in Nigeria, most are not thriving.

When businesses aren't doing well, one result is unemployment and underemployment. The unemployment rate in 2024 was recorded at 33% before government changed the calculation method.

Nigeria is a hell hole. Everyone knows it. There's no amount of whitewash or wishfulness that will make Nigeria a better place to live than the UK/USA, it's impossible to achieve that even in the next 200 years. Stop spreading harmful propaganda and deception. It's wrong and immoral

My family borrowed $2500 from a businessman to use and send me to the USA, back when naira was ₦4 to $1...and I worked as a fast food cook and paid it back in less than one year. From there I built a house for them AND bought them a car all within 7 years. I put my siblings through secondary and university in Nigeria and eventually brought them all to the USA, including my parents. One of those siblings on Aug 1 bought me a brand new Tesla for cash.

My family is average compared to most of our immigrant cohort in the USA. On Saturday I was at a party thrown by a Nigerian banker and TWO people came in Bentleys. One of them is a CEO of a small company here whose salary was published in the local newspaper back in 2007...$1.2 million per year, back then. I've already shown evidence another Nigerian CEO currently earning over $1.6 million per year. The highest paid CEO of a public company in Nigeria in 2022 was the ASIAN guy atop Dangote Cement, his salary is $600K per year.

At the same party was a dear friend who is a driver. His wife is a Nurse Aide. That is the only jobs they've ever done in this country. They bought their home in the early 1990s before me so it's likely paid off. All their children are university grads...sports administration, nurse, accountant and engineer. I was their baby sitter for years, I taught a couple of them to drive, they all had cars AS TEENAGERS, all of them have bought their own homes. I've seen their story from the very beginning to now. Wetin again? They would be better off in Nigeria as business people? I don't think so.

From the top to the bottom in every comparable role, a Nigerian is likely to do better in the US/UK than Nigeria. That's the EVIDENCE. Even your APC hero Muhammadu Buhari retired to London UK after leaving Aso Rock, most of President Tinubu's children live in the USA. Mr Keyamo a serving Federal Minister owns a house in this my same North Carolina in a small town called Statesville...he posted it on Facebook, no speculation, I've looked it up too....and he may well end up retiring here. Ask yourself why and if a regular Nigerian shouldn't take the chance to do the same if possible.

In short Oga just keep quiet. Nigeria is NOT a good place for most people to achieve a world standard middle class life. To get to that level in Nigeria a person must be EXTRAORDINARY in some way...talent, personality, beauty, drive or intellect. That's the truth, most average people like me have a better chance in the UK/USA. You guys need to stop.
