With PDP zoning to a southerner, Atiku will not see 25% in any of the 17 Southern states.

Peter Obi will contest in LP and Atiku will contest in ADC. If they do the election 500 times, Atiku won’t get 25% in any southern state. So how will he win?

The task Wike has now is to keep the ticket out of the reach of Makinde who also has little political reach and relevance in the North. Makinde is good for the job but he is another Osinbajo given his political empty weight nationally.

Jonathan will not make it. The North knows he is not available for their use learning from their previous experience with him when the Igbo had him and ruled Nigeria through him by proxy. The North will not support Jonathan even if Tambuwal is his Vice-Presidential candidate! Namadi Sambo knows how it went back then! Who says the Igbo have not tasted the Presidency!

Tinubu is the only candidate who stands to benefit from a split vote scenario like it happened in the last presidential election. His opponents read the book correctly when they reached the conclusion that they needed a coalition to defeat him. Just that the coalition is in collision with itself! Worst part is pervasive insecurty engulfing the North. If you could remember the only sin Goodluck Jonathan committed against the North is failure to effectively fight Boko haram that cost him his seat as president. That time the insecurity is restricted to North East and now banditry which is even worse than Boko haram is now bedeliving the Northwest. Banditry was left to thrive during administration of Buhari. Instead of nibbing it from the bud Buhari government fail to even acknowledge the existance of banditry. We remember him as very weak leader that he cant even secure his own state. Many ppl here maitained that they cant forgive him for failing them even after his death. The North believed Tunibu can deliver because he is more educated instead he is more interested in making more money for the government than making life easy for the people. I can tell youTunibu did better job than Buhari on insecurity in the North West the problem is he could have done more. But Buhari almost crush Boko haram in the North west but recenty insecurty is making a comeback there.

when it could have done so in 2023 but was beclouded by sense of entitlement from the north , I don't see any candidate from the south defeating the incumbent in 2027 , PDP should keep it house in order and give it a shot at 2031 .

You have made some valid points. You may agree with me that banditry have really reduced under Tinubu. Take KD for instance, we know how it was travelling from Abuja to KD on road. Even the train was not secured. The military had to be escorting motorists before passing KD but now the case is different. Buhari could have failed In everything but not security as a retired Maj Gen. He indeed was a failure

If he is going to be his vice outside PDP, they will not win a national election against Tinubu.

Atiku actually got no structure of his own, he can only use the structure of PDP to amount to anything.

Blocking out Atiku completely from PDP itself is a strategy that already gave APC an edge even before election.

My 100% prediction is that Obi will contest presidency under LP as a single candidate.
