Balanced diet is key. That you should eat protein does not mean you should regularly crowd your plate with meat. It should be in moderation.

Excessive red meat consumption increases the risk of cardiovascular disease and heart attacks. It can lead to worsening of kidney function, high cholesterol, obesity etc.

Pepper soup with Lion meat doesn't come cheap and shouldn't be too much to devour once.

As regards your last paragraph, I once met one man like that inside one pounded yam buka at computer village-Ikeja. The man bought two wraps of pounded yam, 4 ogufe(goat meat), one smoked round fish and several pieces of cow meat. Like they had to put the whole protein inside one separate plate for him different from the plate that had his soup.

As you can guess, the man is on the plumpy side with his neck almost invisible. I just dey wonder the kind fat and cholesterol wey go don pile up for inside his body.

At restaurant in Naija back then. Some don't put meat on your soup, they serve the meats in a separate plate and count it, So they might send you a plate with 15 pieces of meat and they will charge you for what you eat.

Some "big men" consider it disrespectful to count meat give them instead of just packing it for them and they will pick what they want
