I hope dangote would be responsible enough to ensure competent drivers are hired

As he brings 1000 trucks, hope 2000 well trained and licensed drivers are already hired

Words could be as powerful as " subsidy is gone " that changes the dynamics of the oil sector. Without that singular pronouncement accompanied with a political will, Dangote would not have invested so much. The last time we experienced fuel scarcity and scorching queues at filling stations was over two years ago but of course, we take it for granted. Just as we thought the economy was only meant for the rich when the telecommunication sector was opened up, we thought the average masses had been thrown under the bus. A few years down the line, that policy became one of the eleven wonders of the world in Nigeria.

-Kiss the truth!
You kiss the truth first.

“Subsidy is gone” met Dangote all set to kick off. “Subsidy is gone” did not finance Dangote refinery.
“Subsidy is gone” brought Nigerians this hardship.
With “subsidy is gone”, why have the public refineries not worked yet?
“Subsidy is gone” and yet no clear arrangement in place to get the public refineries to 100%. Get small shame please.

Whatever is happening there is child's play to what you guys are experiencing. But who is counting? Anyway, I used the word relative in comparison. And out of about 7 states that you associated with Yorubas, you mentioned 2. Moreover , all over the world, no where is completely safe, hence the use of the word relative. If you got no lesson to learn, bikonu, kwantinue. Ajuwaya!
Your usual south west propaganda. You are over a thousand miles away from where you are talking about and you are wishful thinking what can never be and can never happen.

That's how many of you has been wishing Abians bad since Dr Alex Oti became governor but who send una self?

More pressure on our dying roads.

Why can't Dangote and the government work together to revive rail Haulage of his petroleum products to reduce road accidents, fire accidents and overloading of our already tired and dying roads?

You think it’s the “Subsidy is gone” statement that made Dangote in your words “invest this much”.

Dangote has been building that refinery since 2013/2014 during GEJs tenure.

If not for Covid, APC that put the country in 2 recessions, the refinery would have been concluded and operational since 2015.
And when did APC tenure started ooh

If only you will conclude your gibberish without saying kiss the truth, people like me would have pardoned your miscalculation of words....

Telecommunications can not be akined to development, why it spread like wide fire was because of the urgent need of it....

Stop trying to accord accolades to the subsidy removal that was also a miscalculated attempt by the President....

What you are saying is not true. He had started and even "launched" the refinery way before Tinubu ended subsidy, so please stop misleading people.
Like 125 company are actually giving license for as low as modular refinery, but all of them are siting subsidy as excuses for not establishing rather than to use the same for importing refine product

No developed country or emerging economy that doesn't use upgraded tail infrastructure to move goods and services.

Dangote should provide safety measures across Nigeria roads where his trucks passes to reduce accidents and fire disasters in the coming years

Good development but which part of Lagos will house additional 1000 to 3000 new trucks?

One would have thought the federal government will encourage the size of dangote to invest in private rail transport to move their goods. I hope the people are ready for the space these trucks will be parked on their roads

Na wa o, some people here even have the temerity to counter your comment even when they lack the facts and intellectual capacity to do some simple analysis on their own.

Dangote today is the only guy with refinery but the removal of subsidy has whipped up some stiff competition, thereby forcing down prices. How many of them have queued up at the filling station for 30mins since Tinubu took over two years ago? The independent marketers today do their business arithmetic to know whether to buy from Dangote or to import. As a result, even Dangote can not increase prices anyhow because he knows they will go abroad to buy.

Besides, all the money for subsidy was going into private pockets but he stopped subsidy and channeled that money into meaningful infrastructural projects all across the country, providing education loans to students, many of whom would have lost the opportunity to get tertiary education, to mention just a few. Although, some people always claim that they have not seen anything done by this government. I don't blame them tho, they're yet to recover from election loss two years after.

Abeg, whoever wants to cry is free to cry as much as he wishes. Subsidy is gone and all of us will adjust to the new realities.
