Melvyn11:No sir. I live in the capital city of the rice producing state in the South East. Importation/Bringing in of foreign rice into the state even for personal consumption is banned so we consume local rice which we buy from the rice mill. Even the supermarket stores here only sell the local rice procured from the mill. |

Segedinho:In a family setting, soup would last at least three days, and possibly more, and that's because the soups would typically be eaten once a day, and at night. For a bachelor that'd make that soup the base for his meal across a day, it's very possible to run through the soup in one day. |

liveLongNprospa:As is to be expected, countries with high rates of homo sexuality are lagging behind, repopulation drives are most definitely in the offing. Ironically there's another chart on IQ % which gives a reverse result, one can arguably infer that the higher the IQ the lower the fertility rates 🤷🏾♂️ |

Theflint1:A full chicken goes for 8k here, so if I use the chicken to cook a sumptuous pot of egusi assuming I use the 7k for the rest of the ingredients(Which I don't BTW since it's cheaper here). I work so I eat the soup for breakfast, I run back home in my afternoon break to eat my beloved soup and when I return at night I eat the soup again, will the soup finish? |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Segedinho(m): 7:41pm On Aug 27, 2025 |
Theflint1:What you mean now is to buy a kilo of turkey vs 1 cup of melon just because u crave it? And u do this whenever u wonna eat egusi? If that was/is the case….his other more sophisticated food should be 100k per day na |

KingTom:Homosexuals are a minority in the general population, Japanese and a lot of these Asian countries are not notorious for homosexuality, yet they're grappling with low birth rates. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by KingTom(m): 7:43pm On Aug 27, 2025 |
Theflint1:The Asian problem is a peculiar one IMO they're at the forefront of repopulation drives meanwhile it wasn't so long ago when countries like China were rumored to be regulating birth rates |

KingTom:Where is here? A kilo of frozen turkey is 9K, and chicken 6K. A full chicken ranges between 1.5KG - 3KG, so you're comparing two very different scenarios. |

Theflint1:Na Africans dey born anyhow na due to some of our cultures ; the rest of the world don't give birth as much as Africans do. There are even people in the west and Asia who decide they don't want to have kids. In Africa, having kids is like one of the things we prioritize |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 7:55pm On Aug 27, 2025 |
Segedinho:No, it could be 25K or 20K a day, and this is with him not eating to his satisfaction. if he's able to push that his pot of soup that barely lasts a day to the next morning, someone that spends around 20-25K eating out a day could be doing a lot of savings. There are lots of persons that live like this...I have a neighbour that the family rarely cook, they order food a lot. A lot of our pablos and tech/crypto bros, live like this too. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Theflint1(m): 7:57pm On Aug 27, 2025 |
BlueRayDick:Yea, when you now add women working a lot more than they did in the past, you'd see why birth rates are so low. |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by GloriousGbola: 8:13pm On Aug 27, 2025 |
Theflint1 is all caught up in this because of agenda His root argument is that inflation under this administration has made a 15k pot of soup a bowl of soup that can be consumed in one sitting. Know this and know peace |

BlueRayDick:When they knack you £3k per month for nursery fees for 2 children in UK, your church mind will tell you to hang boot. On top that your wife will lose a years earnings each time. We haven't calculated uni fees, bigger house etc. it is fair to say each child puts a responsibility of £100k to £250k on their parents head (if their parents are middle class working parents and not relying on Govt to take care of their children). It is those without work and on benefits that you see borning 4+ children here. Two is the norm. I and 3 of my siblings all have 2 each with no exceptions. My brother in-law an Ogoni man born 2 girls with my sister, when I asked him if he won't go for boy, that's when he became a feminist saying each of his girls is worth 2 boys each ![]() |

BlueRayDick:Enlightenment will make you know say no be to born plenty, Many of this generation just have 2 kids, and they are done, In our parents generation na 4 max per family but economy don make people adjust These days people dont just give birth to populate the earth they want to give their kids the best life too, women also want to enjoy have a careeer and not going from maternity ward back to back Also women are getting married later in life s the fertility window is smaller. Birth controls are now available unlike 40yrs ago when teenage pregnancies full everywhere Now people have kids when they want to All these factrs lead to developed countries having low birth rates and developing countries with more poverty have high birth rate If you look at Nigeria self, the rich people have 2-3kids max na poor people dey born plenty believing in the lottery say at least 1 go make am |

Ibime:Even for Naija, big families are way less common, a lot of persons stop at two, and max three. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 10:09pm On Aug 27, 2025 |
raumdeuter:The bold is actually the mentality of some African parents in the past. They hope one of the kids (most especially the first born) makes it and trains the rest of the kids in school lifting burden of responsibility off the parents. By so doing, they make their kids retirement plan. |

| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by TemporaryHansel(m): 10:41pm On Aug 27, 2025 |
Theflint1:It depends on level of exposure. A learned person shouldn't have more than 3 kids max in this age, if an illiterate or barely exposed person does it, we can blame their ignorance for it, but if an exposed person does it, I don't think he or she should be forgiven. |

izzou:I belong to the school of thought of not having too many children, even when you have the means. Two or three kids max. Then vasec. straight up thereafter, because like I mentioned here before, I don't like the aftereffects of birth control or family planning on women. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by izzou(m): 11:33pm On Aug 27, 2025 |
TemporaryHansel:It's okay. I respect that. My own is that you should have the means to cater and provide for any child you have. Whether it's 1 or 100, just be responsible for them. |

liveLongNprospa:Its already a serious problem for many countries. Japan and South Korea are losing population at an alarming rate and both their economies and defense capabilities is affected. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by liveLongNprospa(m): 1:29am On Aug 28, 2025 |
Bombblacks:This is the type of issue we are talking about. I hear it's both due to how expensive raising children are and women also working more now and being less likely to have kids. I'm sure there are other factors And it's an actual disaster for these countries. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by Amoto94(m): 6:52am On Aug 28, 2025 |
Robots can aid you in the production of goods and services but can robots consume 15k worth of soup? Japan and South Korea are facing population crisis despite their advanced economies, all their attempts to bolster their population are not yielding desired results. When the birthrate is lower than death rate or ageing population then you won't have an adequate workforce for aggregate demand of goods and services |
