I'm not bothered whether you are convinced or not my point is Jesus Christ taught us to shun whoever disagrees with what the whole association of brothers agreed upon.
So what i want to know now is what you have to say about Jesus being the one who initiated it not whether what he said makes sense to you!

As a teenager, I veered towards becoming a Jehovah's Witness. I was introduced to their literature by my late father. He wasnt one, but liked the literature. There is literally none of the major literature I have not read and digested, from "Mankind's Search for God" (my favorite) to "Reasoning from the Scriptures," . . . "You can Live forever in paradise on Earth." . . . "Questions Young People Ask (and how to answer them)" . . . .Too many to mention along with the regular "Awake!" and "The Watchtower" magazines.

I was at a point completely convinced of the intergrity and scriptural accuracy of the Jehovah's witnesses. Aside from the dedication to scripture and repudiation of a lot of false and pagan doctrines (Trinity, Hell Fire as well as pagan celebrations such as Easter and Christmas) they had a genuinely humble, simple and endearing style and approach. They were always welcome for Bible Study in our homes and I had already begun looking at which Kingdom Halls I would prefer to worship with.

The things that began to make me drift away were actually simple enough. Such as the blood transfuson issue. Up till today, from a scriptural (and I dare say even spiritual angle) I believe that the JW approach is coherent - as they often said, if the doctor asks you not to drink alcohol, you should not then take it intravenously. So since scipture says dont eat blood, then you should not take it intravenously either. On the spiritual side, the Bible itself says "the life is in the blood" and I also imagine that mixing blood could mix certain magnetic and spiritual vibrations personal to individuals.

Nonetheless I wondered at a point what sort of rigidity could lead the JW to prefer the death of even their children to a blood transfusion. Frankly this was my first hesitation.

Others came with time and were not limited to the views of JWs but rather to my growing questioning of the nature of reality, God and life. I became generally irreligious and began to see God as an impersonal existential force. In later life, the practice of shunning is something I came to understand and detest with JWs. I still find it very cult-like and unchristian.

So there you are. Over to you.

Imagine someone in Israel jokingly use the name of their God. Do you think anyone could save such a person from being killed claiming the utterance was a SARCASM?

We were discussing a very serious matter and this guy kept claiming all the religious leaders are interested in riches and in the process of proving it's not so with the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses he said "make me GB first" and here you are claiming it was sarcasm.

Well whether it was sarcasm to you or not i have quoted his comment asking me to make him Governing Body!

Are you now convinced that Jesus Christ and his first century disciples believe in shunning whoever turns against what the group believes?

Next question should be what practical sense is in SHUNNING people whom you once loved so much?

At least you can see that he was truly interested in his search for God the only thing i know for sure is that there is no humble person who studied with Jehovah's Witnesses and turn his or her back on getting baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Whatever makes a man continue arguing persistently saying his Creator doesn't exist something is right there in his heart so when such a person now ask for the highlighted office among the worshipers of God then there is nothing to hide anymore. It's funny how you failed to realize that this guy is just trying to cause a distraction!

On this thread i told him that real disciples of Christ don't believe in worldly riches because that's not what success in faith really mean and he said i should go and say that to religious leaders riding private jets.
So i told him that he's not humble because that's how he asked me to make him Governing Body believing that's the highest rank in JW and since the organization is rich he feels members of the Governing Body are also rich materially speaking.
That's why i quoted Jesus saying it's out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth spreaks! Luke 6:45

Well i think i've made my point you can't be a humble person outside Jehovah's Witnesses Organization because that's the quality Jesus asked us to look for in everyone we meet so try to retrieve that statement that you are humble that's all i want you to know!

That's the quality our God commanded us to search for in all the people we meet {Luke 10:6} in fact we are asked to make such a person one of us {Luke 10:7} so if you claim to be humble and you are not one of Jehovah's Witnesses i will prove you wrong because that quality belongs only to worshipers of my own God who must inherit the earth when all evildoers has been destroyed! Matthew 5:5; Psalms 37:9-11
