A very very welcoming development. This will further enhance efficiency.
Re: Immigration Announces Upward Review Of Nigerian Passport Fees by Softmirror:
To me the money is even very low when you judge by the usefulness and importance of the Passport as well as compare the price of travel tickets, both plane and ship. Our passport is still relatively very cheap.

People have been paying a lot more than this through bribery to get Nigerian passports in recent past.

Modified:

#100,000 for 5 years is #55 per day till it expires.

You see, the whole mentality about the people complaining is very typical of an average Nigerian citizen who is able to buy a car for millions but won't be able to tender vehicle particulars because he finds it 'expensive' to afford.

I still don't understand the logic behind using minimum wage as you people's yardstick as to what should be paid for an international passport.

It is not logical. Because it simply means a person earn a minimum wage will only spend more time saving to acquire one. That's all!

Is the minimum wage the yardstick used for the price of flight ticket too?!🥴

Some people just like lying to themselves. In recent past, the kind of HUMILIATION by immigration officers just because you want to get an International passport is out of this world. Sometimes dem go use koboko flog people wey line up for queue.

Oh! Nice one. Is it the same government whose agents come for farmers who also increase the cost of their wares to meet up with life's demand that is doing this?

Before this party came into power, a 64-page passport cost only ₦20,000. This administration has seen a whooping 1000% increment to date now.

It is well.

Stop replying those folks. The only business sane Nigerians should have with computer boys paid to defend everything the government does is to attack them.

Even those that have not smelt the saner climes are talking. What is the minimum wage in Nigeria? How many times will this fee be increased? ASUU is about going on strike due to poor pay, cost of living is driving majority of the citizens to the ground, but people like you are here commending the increase. You will reap what you are sowing.
