Hello fellow nairalanders please i just had my scrotal scan done 2 days ago and they siad it was normal but i believe i have varicocele I'm thinking of going to a private hospital to re-do the scan as my left testicle has shrunk considerably and i only have wood when i watch porn and almost no libido these past weeks please help

Somebody should pls help me interpret this analysis. Thanks

Please don't waste money doing another normal scrotal scan. Your case is suggesting Hypogonadism. I would recommend instead of doing normal scrotal scan, do the following

1. Hormal panel. Test for
a. total and free testosterone (best done in the morning before 10am).
b. Thyroid function (TSH, T3 and T4)
c. LH (Luteinizing Hormone)
d. FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone)
e. Prolactin
f. Estradiol (Estrogen)
These hormonal panel tell if it's Primary testicular issue (problem in the testicle) or Secondary (brain/hormonal control issue)
2. If you ever want to double check for varicocle please do scrotal doppler ultrasound (It's more comprehensive than normal scrotal scan)
3. Finally, if you have the fund, see a urologist or endocrinologist
