as much as you made sense to me , and I angry with most of what you said , I will like to confirm , did you investigate this story personally? Because I believe the police did , and it is there Job to do that.
And that is where it is more annoying that a whole police organisation will be ethnically biased because of tribal affiliation...

Ask yourself does it sound normal for someone to stab someone and stab himself during a fight?

You made sense with your first 3 points
But with ur last sentence, blaming Tinubu, just proved you're one of those problems in Nigeria
Let's be truthful to ourselves, ever since Tinubu involved himself in national politics hasn't Nigeria witnessed increased ethnic division and now that he is president hasn't it gotten worse?

If a whole president can be ethnically biased, what is he teaching his followers?

Which one is he stabbed himself and became unconscious?
Didn't see watch videos of people nearly mobbing him to death?
this was left out and they decided to change the narrative. Why?

The two Agboros killed themselves, whether they are from Kogi state, Abia, Kano or Ogun state it doesn't matter.

What is false narrative in the statement made? Have witness two individuals fighting dirty and when the first one injured the second person, and blood was rushing out from is body, he quickly injured himself and said it was two fighting if not for we the eye witness with a phone recording, people.like yu will have defend same by calling is fowl play.
Why not let them call it was it was and w should know the actual attacker rather than going against the reporter pls

Brendaniel:
Just kindly take your time and read the entire story again and see how Nigeria as a whole has descended so low with tribal profiling and witch hunt, the first time I read this story I knew a whole lot of things in the story were not adding up and I saw tribal profiling in the entire article:

1. Why woould you start a story with an Igbo trader and a Yoruba trader, was that necessary?

2. Why would you add the states where they come from, was that also necessary?

3. Imagine a whole police PRO telling bold faced lies with ethnic profiling and saying that the Igbo guy stabbed the Yoruba guy and then stabbed himself?

I said to myself that it doesn't add up, so 2 people were fighting and one stabbed the other and then decided to stab himself? I knew something was off and this has proved my point:

So you see the police in Lagos is playing ethnic card against the Igbo guy and they just want to charge him pure murder because he is Igbo, this is the level of damage Tinubu has done in Nigeria where tribe matters more in a crime committed than the crime itself

An eye witness there gave a different account different from the police, also for the police to be profiling both individuals with their ethnicity was a red flag for me, reason why I don't really believe their own story...

Yes, Tinubu is promoting ethnic hate, it wasn't really like this before, so yes he will take blame... if that's what speaking the truth means to you, that's your problem not mine...
I'm an apolitical person but it pains to see how you guys are hating on anyone who doesn't share ethnic or political parties with you.

A life was lost because of N8,000.
So saddening
In Nigeria life is way more cheaper, someone stabbed his brother to death just because of 200naira. The hunger and frustrations in the land is beyond imagination.

no, I'm only speaking the truth, if you see it as hate, that is your problem, how can presidential spokesmen all be promoting ethnic hate ?

It tells you the person they are working for paid them to do that...

Life was lost just because of 10 naira , the guy that was killed refused to pay for pure water sachet he bought while he went to eat at a food vendor shop and the matter long than what people can imagine so can you see that 8k is still much more than what I just narrated here..

Lyf is more deeper than what we can look or see with just an ordinary eyes..

They're scammers and not hustlers just like your average market sellers. All scammers. Imagine the unsuspecting customer lost over 8k because the shop owner would definitely keep some for himself to share the remainder with his crooks

I agree. Once they bring a customer to a shop, the shop owner now inflates the cost of items so he will have to give the so-called hustlers something. And those guys are total nuisances. They follow you like flies and make one's trip to the market hellsome. The next time nonsense like this happens, they should all be sent away. It is not a hustle.

my wife was an eye witness to the event , I have videos of it's happening where she was running around for safety, the guy broke bottle , stab himself in the arm before he attacked . The market nearly beat him to death for it. Investigation on issues is very important in this our Nigeria before we make judgement .

Nawa for some ppl..

.I can't kill chicken how much human being.....anger is a terrible thing to live with....
God saved me from a woman of short temper..
Hahaha, we are same o. I'm almost 45 and I have never kllled or slaughtered a chicken in my life. If my younger ones can't do it then they have to kill it where they bought it.
So I wonder how some people can think of hurting their fellow to the extent of killing.
.
Let me share one funny thing to you, some 20 yrs ago when youthful exuberant was still in man. I exchange blows with someone and one of my blows mistakenly cut the guy's eyelid and he began bleeding. You need to see how I was shaking with fear and stopped the fight abruptly. I even held him and was begging him. Ever since then, I stopped fighting.

But this is what the police is saying:

The police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, said, “During the fight, one Ebuka Adindu from Abia State stabbed one Sodiq Ibrahim from Kogi State to death.

“The said Adindu in turn stabbed himself on the shoulder and became unconscious. He is currently under arrest in the hospital, where he is being treated. Investigation into the matter will be concluded, and he will be prosecuted after he has been discharged.”
Your wife said he first stabbed himself before stabbing the guy, while police is saying he stabbed the guy then stabbed himself, while some other witnesses are saying the guy first stabbed the Igbo guy then the Igbo guy chased him and stabbed him back...

The last one to me looks most realistic, so I will rather believe that one...

It's so serious. Come and see how people can engage in serious battle because of little money.

The little money itself is not really the idea behind the fight but standing against what seems to be cheating and not ready to let go. It can cause serious damage like in the scenario that played out in this report.

I experienced such on occasion, that could have lead to serious damages because of just 500 Naira.

I hired a labourer to help me move planks to nearby location and we negotiated for 6k.
There was another labourer nearby as we were negotiating which in turned joined the guy I negotiated with.

Both of them carried the planks in their wheelbarrows in equal proportion and moved to the destination.

I was surprised after I paid the 6k as agreed to the guy I met and as they were going, the fight started between two of them exchanging blow, I quickly ran to the scene and asked what happened, the issue was the guy i met took 3,500 and gave the other 2,500.

Now the other guy refused that the money have to be shared 3k each which to me is ideal, but the main guy insisted he's the one who collected the Contract before sublet to the other guy so they can't share the money equally.

I quickly brought out another 500 naira to the other guy to make up his own share of 3k, that's how I sorted the issue and say they should go peacefully before it degenerated to serious palarva.
Interesting tale.
I know this was long ago, but in hindsight what do you think?
Considering one guy got the connect, contract, agreement, etc., don't you think it was fair that he took 3,500 and gave the other guy 2,500?

Or how do you see it?
