Petrol should never cost more than N70 per litre, says APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as mere tokenism the reduction of petrol price from N97 to N87 per litre, saying the petroleum product ordinarily should sell for N70.

On Sunday, the federal government announced the reduction of petrol price, citing the fall of global crude oil price.

But the APC through Lai Mohammed, its spokesman, on Monday accused the government of making a show out of deceit, saying “a 10.3 per cent slash in the price of petrol was a mere tokenism at a time the price of crude oil has crashed by about 60 per cent”.

It argued that the pump price of a litre of petrol should not be more than 70 Naira, alleging that at N87 per litre, the government was forcing Nigerians to subsidise the massive corruption in the oil sector by N17 for every litre of fuel.

A 10 year passport costing 200k is not bad.
Costing of everything has gone up all over the world.

They increased the cost of everything you can imagine by at least 150% in 2 years, but not a single aspect of human development has witnessed such increment. Not electricity, quality of education, roads, security, not even 1. My conviction is that Tinubu agents and supporters were sent directly from hell by Satan to torment sane Nigerians.

Was this the amount the useless and overhyped minister collected his own passport when he wanted to travel for the first time? They will come in disguise of working for the masses only to inflict pain afterall. Later people will hype him and say the minister is the most performer.

A good move by the administration of His Excellency, President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR)

Efficiency comes at a cost and increment is welcomed.

Such increment should be the extended to education. The universities cannot compete internationally with the current rate. Universities need to step up their fees in order to deliver top notch education that makes them competitive.

Please, also complain about flight tickets too on behalf of the poor because it is not free.

I also concur with you, anyone thinking that this government will be thinking of how to make lives easy for the masses is under a strong illusion. This government policies is targeted at making life easy for the political elites, more money for governors to loot, more money to loot to buy there way into power in the coming elections while they promise a better future for the masses. Don't just expect anything good from them and you will never be disappointed
