WebsiteMaster:Restrain him for what? Should Tinubu also restrain Peter Obi and all his supporters from further making injurious statements against him? See, we are in a democracy and free speech is a key ingredient of democratic governance. Anyone who thinks he’s too big to be abused, insulted and scrutinized should not put himself up for public office. Peter Obi is a political fraud and he will be called out severally till he quits politics. You all can’t restrain people from speaking their truth. |

A TheCable report found that the investment was worth only $5.38 million as of June 2022). Although Obi’s family had no direct stakes in International Breweries, it does in SABMiller/AB InBev (via NEXT International Limited, where, according to Premium Times of January 11, 2023, “Mr Obi was listed as a director while his wife, Margaret, served as secretary.) SABMiller/AB InBev was International Breweries’ parent company. Obi himself, in his response to Kadaria, said he was “no longer involved in the company,” which means he was at some point.Just negodu their saintly savior. ![]() |

He failed to mention that Deji presented his opinion as facts and even dated P.O to sue him if he thinks he's lying. |

Pompoma:You people never cease to amaze me at all. Learn to kiss the truth. Imagine the comment you are making. You guys always love living in self denial even when you know the truth. Obi will NEVER rule this country. He is a habitual, pathological and an unrepentant liar. I remember how he was quick to deny the Yes Daddy audio that was leaked and even threatened to sue premium times. Premium times dared him to sue them and since then Gbajue went into comatose. You should have just read this post without typing this B.S. Learn to kiss the truth |

Here is a clear summary in simple language On August 26, 2025, Peter Obi’s legal team sent a formal notice to activist Deji Adeyanju. The letter demanded removal of posts on social media, a full apology on X, Facebook, and in three national newspapers—within seven days—or face a defamation lawsuit . Adeyanju had called Obi a “fraud,” “religious bigot,” “leader of the mob,” claimed Obi offered him money disguised as a “thank you,” and accused him of misusing state funds for his family business . Some of Adeyanju’s claims rest on verifiable facts. For example: Obi invested $30 million of Anambra State funds in International Breweries. Obi claimed he later reduced the stake held by the state, and had at some point personal involvement in the parent company via a firm where his wife was secretary . An audio recording shows Obi calling this a “religious war” and asking for support—when played, it supports the claim of religious bias. Independent fact‐checkers confirmed the recording’s authenticity . Investigative reports from the Pandora Papers accuse Obi of failing to declare offshore assets, including those held by his children—violating Nigerian law . In 2009, police reportedly found ₦250 million in cash at Obi’s private office in Lagos, packaged in suitcases. Obi said it was meant for a contractor, but suspicions remained because no contractor appeared, and Obi left the country soon after . The author argues truth is a valid defense in libel cases. Many of Adeyanju’s statements reflect real, documented events or statements by Obi himself. If sued, Adeyanju could use these facts to show he is neither lying nor defaming Obi . The post suggests that Obi’s attempt to silence criticism through legal action may backfire by drawing more attention to his controversies . Adeyanju responded defiantly. He posted on Facebook, “I can’t wait to meet him in court finally. A fraud parading himself as a messiah” . In plain terms: Obi wants to sue, but many of Adeyanju’s accusations are based on recorded speech, investigations, or public records. In a libel case, that makes it hard to prove defamation. |

In a working democracy very few things should be beyond limits and the threshold for personal injury should remain high. Obi has every right to go legal just as Deji haa every right to expose him. This is one of many antidotes to feudalism. And it is necessary to prove that democracy is more about weakening the persona of the leader so he can be led. If you understand this you are well underway to making democracy work. |

GoodAssociate:But Obi is certainly that man. He is a deceit, a pathological, habitual and an unrepentant liar. I laugh whenever I see his mob trying to repackage him. I live in Anambra for 5 years out out of his 8 years reign as Governor of Anambra state. Obi was a collosal failure. The same people who called him names are the same people trying to repackage him because if tribal and religious sentiments. Obi has nothing to offer. He can only continue to be social media President but never in reality! Facts don't lie. He knows most Gen z's don't have much time to spend watching news etc that's why he can come out to tell Nigerians that he never left any debt for his successor but facts say other wise. Even during a Gubernatorial election debate, Willie Obiano said it in live TV that Peter Obi left a debt of over 175B for him. Peter Obi never came out to counter that claim because the facts are there. We don't need a man who is a deceit and a shameless liar as president of this country. Someone that performed woefully as Governor of Anambra state is coming to tell you that he has the solution to Nigeria's problems and you believe such a person? If you know that I'm terrible in mathematics, would you allow me to be your child's mathematics teacher? |

WebsiteMaster:He can’t and he won’t. A common tactic is to threaten to sue and even get your lawyers to file, to give the impression to the public that you have been wronged but never actually proceed with the case. I am not a lawyer so I can’t give you the technical details. Peter Obi CANNOT afford for to actually pursue the case. He has too many skeletons in his cupboard. Mark my words he will drop the case. It’s just hot air. I am not a fan of Adeyanju but Peter has too many skeletons. |

Peter Obi claims the stake in the brewery by next was ok because he had nothing to do with the company and it was a family business. Same way he said the property in GRA which was bought while he was governor was bought by next and nothing to do with him. But today he is a director and a shareholder in next, which means ultimately he owns the property in GrA and shares in the brewery. That he “resigned” from next while he was governor does not mean The shares in the breweries and the property in GRA Ikeja don’t belong to him. That’s money laundering!

As Deji's far Senior at the Bar, I have always advised him to take at least two years off to learn the rudiments of legal practice from a well grounded lawyer, instead of constituting himself into a nuisance over the social media space... It is quite disturbing that Deji as a lawyer doesn't know that only a court of law can declare someone a criminal and fraud, and no one else...If Obi sues him for defamation, his only defence will be to provide the certified true copy of the Court judgement convicting Peter Obi of Fraud and other criminal allegations he has levelled against him...Shikena And it's also quite shocking that Deji does not know that Ignorance of the law is not an excuse for its breach...and now that he is a lawyer, the presumption that he knows the law before running his mouth is extremely high.. And Farook a layman lining up layman "evidence" to support Deji is very amusing.... When push comes to shove, Farook won't be there to help Deji explain how as a lawyer he accused a man of fraud, without a court judgement to back that allegation up... |

franchasofficia:Talking rubbish with so much confidence. So offering financial reward or incentive is not to entice someone right? Abi when Ibori stole $20m he stole it at once? That Obi was caught with only 250m doesn't mean that's all he stole. That was just what was caught. He traveled abroad immediately remember? Which can only mean he brought the cash to Lagos to change to dollars and travel abroad with it. Your defense are flawed. |

One thing with Farooq is always trying to hide behind one finger to throw shades at Obi while claiming to be neutral. His bias is always on display on 3D thats why no serious person takes his pretension neutrality seriously. |
