I have an opinion on this, but i want to hear from someone else on what to do.


Last month i paid for an office situation(a shop) to have a branch of my current business or even to diversify to a new business from there. After paying, i worked on the maintenance like Wiring and other relevant bt to be honest, i have no idea on what to do in that location yet. So, i locked it and since that time have been busy.

Barely a week after payment, people have been asking me to rent it to them and some are now making inspection through my back.

The reason i decided to bring this here is because it now very unusual that all of a sudden everybody wants that place. People that initially didn't even care.

Any time i go there, the neighbours would bring talk abt me either giving it to them to use for d main time or to rent it to them.

I was wondering if it is a crime to pay for an office space and decide to leave it for five months before using it. Is there a statutue of rent limitation pertaining to this ?

I will need your opinion on this.

Don't even think about giving that space for anyone to use free. If you are not ready which clearly you aren't. Then rent it out and rest.

Same thing happened to me.....But in my own case,I paid 14 months rent,so that I can use the first two months to save up some money before opening the shop ... I was shocked to see people going behind my back to go and talk to my landlady to refund my money back to me so that they can add some money to the initial amount I paid to her.....But my landlady being a good woman, refused to their plea .....She told them her conscience wouldn't let her do that to me....And besides, I've been good to all of them in the area....That was then I realized that people are naturally wicked......Cuz when I was trying to figure out how and what to do in my shop,there were people who were equally wishing and praying my dreams shouldn't come through....
