THIS is the shocking moment a Republican Texas election candidate shared footage of herself torching the Quran with a flamethrower in a vile Islamophobic campaign ad.

In the video, Valentina Gomez claims her goal is to "end Islam" in Texas - despite Muslims making up just one per cent of the state's population.

Gomez, who is running in the GOP primary for Texas' 31st congressional District, caused outrage after posting the video of herself burning a copy of the Muslim holy book on X on Monday.

She is heard saying in the video: "America is a Christian nation, so those terrorist Muslims can *** to any of the 57 Muslim nations.

"There is only one true God, and that is the God of Israel."

This is not Gomez’s first display of Islamophobic views.

I am not Texan, so I can't exactly criticize her since I don't know the dynamics of inter-religion relationships/tensions there...But I feel she can as well have made her point without burning that Book.

If that's what Texans want, then so be it..After all, Christianity is non-existent or heavily persecuted in many Islamic countries..

I also know as a fact that the native Indians who are the original aborigines of America were not Christian...So I am kinda at a loss when people like this lady say America is a Christian Country

As per her burning of the Muslims Holy Book, I leave that to Muslims to supply her with a "robust response" ...

All these extremists on both sides.Religion is a plague to mankind.Religion is man made and anything man made comes with flaws.Religion is an opium of the masses.

I wish her the very best in her chosen path, she will meet her match, she's entitled to her opinion.

There is no emperical evidence she is burning Quran. Any book can have Arabic back covered.

But it would be foolish of her tp buy a Quran and burn it.

If you must covert a Muslim, give him same Quran in English version to read Surah Mariam, tyen points him to same place in the Bible.
