Dangote will hop on a private jet without blinking, cross continents just to show face at Otedola’s wedding, then glide into Davido’s in the same weekend.
But every single day his trucks are mowing down Nigerians, and not a single word about safer trucking.

The attitude is clear: if you die, you die.

When Dangote Group claimed they would “fly her out once certified to travel,” I knew it was empty billionaire grammar. Air ambulances lift unconscious patients every single day , so if they truly wanted, she’d have been flown. That statement was just a polite way of saying, “If she survives, we’ll make it look good.”

So really , to what end are billions and trillions if basic humanity is abandoned? Where does chasing endless zeros while bodies pile up on Nigerian highways make sense?

This should be the line in the sand, a moment to confront the carnage of Dangote’s trucking empire. Nigerians have shouted for years about his trucks spilling blood on our roads. Now with petrol haulage being added to the mix, the disaster will only multiply.

Enough of the silence. Enough of the damage.

Same thing happened in the USA and within 48hrs.....Trump's administration had made policy changes regarding truck drivers in the entire USA. Nigerian government will not act unless a senator or governor or their children are the ones involved in the accident.
I saw the clip of the accident in this picture. The driver should be sent to death. It was a Punjabi immigrant.

He made a U turn at a point where there clearly is a No UTurn sign. The vehicle coming behind him drove straight into the truck’s trailer.

The crazy part is the guy was unmoved. Those truck drivers are heartless.

Right now, the richest man in Africa has just ended someone’s life and he’s being doing it for years

And yes we will call him out because it’s ironic and a thing of shame that someone that’s meant to be a thing of blessing to Nigeria is the one causing so much pain to them
Alright o, I hear you

They said the guy couldn't read the road sign. But, the government quickly placed a ban on all foreign truck drivers within 48 hours. Thats a government that cares about every single citizen.

Someone should explain how a leg amputation can lead to death when the person does not suffer from diabetes.
the treatment alone will kpai someone.
I have someone who has breast cancer for year unknown to her it was breast cancer and it was in stage 2, the days she start treatment the same day she dead. Most treatment kpai faster then the problem itself

Ruth had an accident 6 days after her graduation and now she is dead. There is more to it.

Kalulu44:
I don't care about the rest things you said but where I am concern is: why do you guys think it's only Dangote trailers that causes accident and kill people on a daily.
They're many non Dangote trailers causing havoc too. Even our president Tinubu's new trailer venture TSL do cause accident. But bcus Dangote's own is more popular and pronounce, you guys will always harp on it to discredit the man.
And more over the man himself doesn't know most of his employees and drivers except the top managers and supervisors.
And he may not even know they're short changing the workers sef.
So this our always blaming the man is unnecessary. I'm not one of his workers, I am not from North, I haven't benefitted anything from him, but let's say the truth for once.
1. Whether other trucks are involved in accidents or not is not important currently. The question is, which truck hit this young girl? Dangote's. Was she given good treatment? No. Is she dead now? Yes. Who killed her? Go figure.

2. Heads of organizations take direct responsibility when events like this occur. It's why presidents, CEOs, etc resign when something happens....whether they are directly involved or not. Dangote is responsible for EVERYTHING that happens in his company. If he gets the praises when something good pops, why shouldn't he take the blame when bad things like this happenhuh This is global standard. The girl is now dead, and Dangote and his company are responsible for her death!!!

3. What stopped him, considering all the resources he has within his reach, from giving that girl the urgent attention she required? Why did they allegedly abandon that other girl in the hospital as we saw in the reports? This man, as it appears, does not care. If this girl were his family member, do you think things would have happened the way they did? If this were in a Western society, do you think people would not be held responsible for this girl's death?

We shouldn't be in the habit of defending things like this. Bad things happen to people, let's not only speak out when it comes close to home. Dangote and his team have not done well in this case, nor have they done well in other RTA cases.

Do you know if she has the means to do so? Most celebrities are more of show off than reality.

malali:
When I say Dangote, it’s not personal. The point is separating the individual from the corporate brand when disasters strike, yet his name alone makes the billionaire lists, this feels like dodging accountability. His fleet of trucks has a notorious record for reckless and deadly accidents, some vehicles barely roadworthy. Claiming “he’s not the only one” doesn’t excuse a crime, just because others misbehave doesn’t make it right. Even with layers of managers and supervisors, the ultimate responsibility rests with him. Think of Tinubu with all his ministers and governors; we still hold him accountable for Nigeria’s failures. The government must craft strict, decisive policies to shield citizens from this chaos. It’s only going to worsen, especially with these same trucks now carrying refined petroleum nationwide. I pray no one’s car is hit and set ablaze, but before that tragedy, we must raise our voices to demand the sanctification and strict oversight of the entire trucking sector.
Good we are calling out Dangote and his trucks out. So will other trucks and especially tanker drivers and their owners be exempted from the calling out?

Her leg wasn't only amputated, there was fluid in her liver. She could pass out waste, she had serious infection. So many other complications.

She could have been transferred to a better hospital within Nigeria, but instead, she was left to die. No one could realistically survive multiple long‑bone fractures in that facility. She should have been moved to a tertiary hospital in Nigeria, or at least had access to teleconsultations with foreign specialists. She was given no fighting chance. She was abandoned to die.
The trauma alone could kill faster. Poor girl.

Dangote and his bandits killer truck drivers. Thats why they kept the northern border open
Re: Phyna Sister, Ruth Otabor Dies After Dangote Truck Accident by flokii: 9:09pm On Aug 31, 2025
FG dhould do something about this Dangote menace and his trailers killing people across the country.. you will never hear of BUA trucks killing innocent Nigerians or other top business ventures, it's always this Dangote simply because he likes cutting corners in everything. Who handles the staffing, recruitment and training of Dangote truck drivers? You'd be shocked it's tribalism he is using to employ his drivers.
Look at the incident in Lagos where over 800 Northern youths lwere shipped all the way from far North to Lagos to work in Dangote refinery. Which fair business person would do such?.
Soon they will be leaking heavy metals and poisonous chemicals into Lagos underground water reservoirs that will eventually cause severe health issues for Lagosians all because of negligence by the society.

The ban is necessary. That shows how crazy they drive in India.

Indian drivers and Nigerian drivers are from the same school of thought.

Some of those Dangote drivers have only driven in kano or up north where you can dive 50 miles without any reasonable traffic. Then they come to Lagos and they are not tested and they are given trucks to drive.
That huge change is a recipe for disaster.

Dangote must step up. With billions comes immense responsibility. He earns the most revenue from trucking in Nigeria, and when action is required, he cannot hide behind managers or other owners. This is a moment to demonstrate true corporate responsibility, not deflect, excuse, or gaslight the public by pointing fingers elsewhere.

Nigeria social media would buzz tomorrow. Those who got involved didn't handle the issue well.

VDM and the sister really messed up. A life was at stake and they were doing those shenanigans on social media accusing each other.
You never disappoint one bit, so VDM should have taken Ruth abroad for treatment or should have assembled a team of doctors to give Ruth 247 treatment? VDM used his platform to raise awareness about this and was out to help phina but she decided otherwise and spent days fighting the only person willing to help her get justice for her sister.

VDM gives many of you sleepless night.

I will never buy or use anything that is produced by DANGOTE from today.

Phyna her sister cried and cried calling them out to help her sister by flying her out for medical attention but Dangote refused.

Go to Phyna's Instagram page and watch her videos.

The last video I watched was her saying Dangote's representative stopped replying her messages.

If it were Dangote's daughter that was hit by truck and her leg was cut off and was on life support, will he close his eyes?

The rich get away with everything.

He is answering Richest man in Africa because of us.

Dangote forgets we are the ones making him rich by buying his products. If Nigerians stop patronizing his goods, I will see how he will remain "Richest Man In Africa".

Am not happy atall.

In this life ehn, just know it's only GOD you have. Nobody else.

This isn't really true.

Based on what was made known from credible source, plans had been set in motion, for her to be airlifted to India for advanced treatment.

What caused the delay, was the pending clearance state, from the Doctors that attended to her.
