Fubara should swallow his pride , lick his wounds quietly and learn a lesson from this event... He can still salvage his Govt with limited time available to him to complete his first and only Term ..😁😁

I think the bottom line and again it is something that I preach all the time. Educated people are not representative of Nigeria and that’s where we make our first and most crucial mistake. The second mistake is that in our collective arrogance we think our aspirations should also be the aspirations of the man in the village. We say the politicians weaponize poverty, maybe but the reality is the man in the village doesn’t care about the issues the educated city dweller cares about. The village man is not interested in Exchange rate, whether PH refinery is working or not, whether a governor has convoy or not, whether Tinubu bought jet or not. Most of them have never seen arise TV or channels. His life is governed by simple things, borehole, farm inputs, rural roads, schools and medical care.

The quicker the educated city dweller starts to understand how the village or rural people think and what matters to them the quicker we get of our high horses and understand the future of this country. Like it or not these people are 80% of the electorate and determine you future. Politicians know this basic fact that seems to elude the city people with all their education..

EducTed people should also understand what democracy is. It is government by the majority. We are not the majority! We are the minority, we will have our say but the majority will have their way. The folly of the educated Nigerian is that he advocates for democracy because he wants to be like the white man, yet he leaves the majority in the villages without guidance and then starts to argue and speak English in the city. I was having a discussion with someone on Nairaland the other day and I suggested that educated people should start to reconnect with their villages and even vote there….he was arguing with me. Firstly because as an educated person they would have influence on the voters in the village because you will be seen as a role model. Secondly, educated voters don’t make any difference to the votes in the cities and thirdly, about 90 of the 109 senators for example are voted in by largely uneducated villagers because all the educated indigenes from those villages don’t reside, visit or vote their and hence have no influence on their townspeople.
While I agree with some of your points, but I think you don't really understand my point here

Poverty and Illiteracy is actually being used as a strategy by this leaders

They intentionally make you and I poor and uneducated, so they can get thugs that would snatch ballot boxes for them, they even elevate this their thugs as things go on

We have seen in recent times how friends of the government have become untouchable

The elites themselves still need to align even if they want to survive the economic trauma

Abi you think Dangote or whoever billionaire that is can actually go against these current crop of leaders and they wouldn't turn him into a pauper overnight

You are still looking at this from an educated city dwellers point of view. You are using your aspirations to judge what should be the aspirations of a villager. It’s what I call the arrogance of the educated Nigerian.

1: If I don’t know I am missing out on something how do I demand it?
2: the people that should “enlighten” inspire of be role models are speaking English in the cities and don’t o home.
3: You look at the villager and say he is poor and illiterate. Did he tell you he is poor and wants your education?

We keep looking at things from our point of view and assume the villagers want to be like us. You may be right you may be wrong but it is arrogant to make that choice for them. Simply because a man can’t speak English or write you assume he is unintelligent, simply because a man lives in the village and farms you assume he wants more and isn’t satisfied with his life. Did they tell you that?

The response of a defeated Sim Fubara. When he demolished the Rivers House of Assembly the other day he did not say that nothing was too much to give away for peace! I said back then that Humpty Dumpty was rolling downhill and bound to have his cranium cracked up. Those who used him to fight a proxy war with Wike (the Jake Epelle and Anker Briggs of this world) can no longer show their face in the market place in daytime hence their purported boycott of the elections. Sim was most unwise and an ingrate and traitor of the worst kind!

No governor nor president conducts election.

It is the state, or national electoral commission that conducts election depending on the office(s).

Regardless of what People think, Rivers state is becoming more peaceful than ever before.

I am in Rivers state. Wike is highly respected and admired.
Yesterday's election was obviously ignored by many. The whole situation is circumstantial and won't linger beyond this season.

Fubara accepted all of Wike's malicious help in the first place. He is not innocent. Both slugged it out and Wike won it.

Fubara's control of Rivers state as the people's governor is ideal and right, but he made it there through a System that is more powerful and for the people's sake, more benficial.

Who broke the assembly with a televised defection only for the nicompoos to retract and seek cover from a controlled judiciary? Your analysis are very short of secondary school or the highest an OND background....
You can do better than this.....

Get an affidavit affirming you're the CoS to PBAT.
