You this general without armored tanks, hide your head in shame. Since your state was splited from Rivers State, if this is what you call development then it's a pity , everyone that has been a governor, dead or Alive in that your state needs to come out and apologize to you guys. They should come and account for the Trillions they stole from the state , this your post is without justifications for this you call development since 1996 till date. This city cannot compete with some towns in Nigeria.

Are you okay at all?
Bayelsa is the size of 3 Igbo States put together with just 8 LGAs.
Bayelsa have over 909 different Communities.
The reason you see it low is because they don't go into the creeks and count Ijaws and due to low political offices, Ijaws leave the States to Rivers, Lagos, Abuja, Delta and even abroad for greener pastures.

Have you forgotten that Goodluck Jonathan was also former Governor of Bayelsa?
If Bayelsa Governors are not doing well won't Goodluck show it as President?
Better grow up.

Oga truth is bitter, besides who told you that I am from Ibo, for your unnecessary comparison. I am a Niger Delta man, so I know the in and out of Bayelsa State. I stand to be corrected please next time don't post this rubbish here, The 8 local government of less inhabitable places of swamps and Creek side should have made Yenagoa the small London of Nigeria but you see those your governor's and the one that is there now, need to answer questions to you guys the Citizens of your state.

No body is jealous of your state, if it is better it's for your on good, if it's bad it's still your state. But my concern is that I hate it when people are been paid to promote lies. That state and almost the entire states of the Niger Delta, were I come from needs serious attention, no governor is performing to expectations as far as I am concerned.

In Southern Ijaw LGA alone with 17 Wards in total and equivalent to the size of entire Lagos State in Area,
34 Communities are having 1 Ward and you expect developments to easily go round

What brought "igbo states" into your rant?
Can't you defend your Bayelsa without bringing in the igbos?
What is your ijaw fixation with igbos?

Yenagoa is more beautiful than Enugu which is a glorified village without water. Even after 80 years as capital Enugu is a dry place with very little economic activities except civil servants collecting bribes and salaries.

Yenegoa is much more beautiful with huge economic activities than all the five South East states combined.

Bayelsa may have just i LGAs but the question is

Do people know how many communities that share one ward or constituency.

For a massive development to happen in Bayelsa, the state govt should create more LGAs, create more wards, create more constituency. And senatorial District.

No senator in Bayelsa can serve a second term.

This is how the get development to go round.

Forget capping, Yenagoa is backward and dilapidated for a state capital. What sort of state capital do people still, cook, bathe, from same river where they poo? Electricity is considered a luxury. The only economic hubs are GSM village Tombia, Ekeki park, and the biggest of all Swali market, not forgetting the new central park at Igbogene. Given the size of Yenagoa that place is suppose to look like a mini London. I was at Ogbia for a programme and I couldn't stay for a week, No electricity, water, a journey that shouldn't take up to an hour from Yenagoa to Ogbia will take almost 2 hours with joint pains everywhere no thanks to bad roads. The biggest construction the state government did in that state is the Berger fly over, and maybe the new central park. It is a shame I must say. Although I must say that one thing I love about Yenagoa, there is almost nothing like traffic if you avoid the Swali area, which I couldn't avoid due to the abundance of lobsters, prawn, and good river fish.

Regarding infrastructural development, the past governors and present governor have always prioritized the development of the whole state, not just he state capital. Nevertheless, lets wait for someone from Yenagoa local government to be the governor and see how it goes.

It's not by snapping Arietalin and the Nigerian Content thing. Almost all of Yenagoa, from Ekeki to Okaka to Azikoro to Tombia etc are all swamps. Inner roads aren't tarred, so you have to walk on stilted planks to get home when it rains. If this is what you call development, then it's likely say na Port Harcourt be the farthest wey you don travel.

comprehension is a serious problem in this country even for supposed graduates. How does your response correlate with what he asked you and what brought Igbos into this matter when the guy you replied is clearly Yoruba ? I keep telling my Ijaw brothers who are mostly stuck shuttling between Yenagoa and their villages or at most Ph/Warri to travel around a bit and see what money can actually accomplish. Is it not one who travelled to Abuja some days ago who has been crying up and down about our lack of development compared to the funds coming into the state ? Let us say the truth that we're grossly being mismanaged by our political elite then look for a way forward instead of massaging the egos of thieves. We can do much much better

have you seen property and rent prices in Yenagoa recently ? It's better I spend that money in ph and Abuja because there's simply no incentive
