Pompoma:Unless Atiku steps down to support Jonathan.Otherwise, the type bof beating he will receive from Tinubu will be unprecedented. Nigeria electoral system is unique, elections are won by very robust party structure, not necessarily the quality of the candidate.APC's structure is stronger than PDP's and that puts PBAT at advantage. If you are not in APC or PDP,you can't win presidential election as at this moment. That's a fact! |

None of these aides can speak for GEJ. When was the last time they spoke on his behalf on national issues of interest. They all cannot deny or confirm anything. There's no word from GEJ. The former first lady came out to say she supports the incumbent first lady and her husband. If there is a new information, Nigerians will hear from the right source. |

Silasworld:Let them divide it. When APC went after Jonathan unleashing all manners of machinery against him, they did not remember Southern unity? Let him come and complete his second term and let's see how Tinubu can have a second term. |

PEJ, has nothing to offere the country anymore! He has his opportunity and he refused to use it, maybe out of fear or otherwise. My deduction is the he was too fearfully because God has put destiny of a whole country on his shoulder once and he fail woefully! In the spirit of one Nigeria under comportion! |

43 Pardoned Nigerian Soldiers Still Denied Entitlements, Families Cry Out Abuja, Nigeria – Nearly three years after former President Muhammadu Buhari granted pardon to 70 Nigerian soldiers convicted in 2014, at least 43 of them are still being denied their rightful entitlements, sparking outrage and appeals for urgent government intervention. The affected soldiers, who were imprisoned for almost a decade before receiving presidential pardon in 2022, say their discharge certificates were wrongly backdated to 2014, effectively forcing them into compulsory retirement and cutting them off from their full benefits. We served our country with dedication, but instead of being restored, we were abandoned,” said one of the pardoned soldiers, speaking on behalf of the group. “Others have been paid, but 43 of us are left without salaries, arrears, or benefits. Our families are suffering.” Under the Armed Forces Act Cap A20 LFN 2004, Sections 32(4), 36(1), and 37, military personnel granted pardon are entitled to have their service years recognized up to the date of the pardon. However, the soldiers argue that by issuing certificates dated 2014, the Army has violated the law and denied them justice. Many of the affected soldiers joined the Nigerian Army in 2012. While some of their colleagues who enlisted earlier have received full payments, the 43 men remain excluded, leaving their families struggling with school fees, daily expenses, and mounting hardships. Human rights advocates have described the situation as a “gross injustice” and urged the Nigerian Army and the Federal Government to act swiftly. Justice delayed is justice denied. These men deserve correction of their discharge certificates and immediate payment of all outstanding entitlements,” a statement from the group of concerned retired soldiers read. The ex-soldiers are calling on President Bola Tinubu, the Ministry of Defence, and human rights organizations to intervene before the matter escalates further.
