This would have been meaningful if our judges have been passing good judgments on cases before them. |

So the question is that , will the killing stop in the East? Or will there be no more sit at home? |

Antoeni:Because it's not easy to convict innocent people But very easy to convict a criminal like Simon ekpa . They kept him for long hoping to get something and to use Simon ekpa to get what to use against Mazi Nnamdi kanu, but that have already failed because ipob disassociation the criminal and his crimes in East. If not by now they would have used Simon ekpa case against Mazi Nnamdi kanu. Nigeria government have no option than to release MNK. |

That's after Nnamdi's trial. What a speedy trial. I love that. Can Nigeria learn something here with Nnamdi's case? |

Hmmm ....so will we have sit at home Tuesdays until he's released? What now happens to Biafra?...the President and Vice President/Military Commander both imprisoned... who is in charge of the revolution? ... army still armed but without a head......are they now into banditry? ... Biafra on hold? ... when will passport holders get the chance to use their passports? Any spokesperson willing to respond? |

chiagozien:13 years in maiduguri prison is what he is going to receive under the Terrorism Prevention Act, amended 2021. The president will pardon the terrorists after much begging from u people, if Ojukwu after all the atrocities he committed can be pardoned by Shagari, then Nnamdi Kanu can also be pardoned by Tinubu. |

nairalandkachy1:Yes but they should also do the needful. The Federal government is the very cause of all forms of insurgency and rebellion. When the government is neck deep into corruption, nepotism and all forms of injustice, some people with weak constitutions will fall into the pit or temptation to seize the opportunity to make their imaginations come to play creating chaos and wanting blood shed like we are witnessing. So as they are celebrating they should also please for God's sake do the needful. Good governance without corruption...this is what we need. |

More still needs to be done. He should be handed over to the anti-terrorism unit of the Nigerian Armed Forces after serving his term in Finland. He needs to be interrogated to extract vital informations about how his network operates, co-conspirators and sponsors. |

IPOB TO NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT: EKPA'S CONVICTION IS HIS CROSS TO BEAR; STOP THE DESPERATE SMOKESCREEN CAMPAIGN TO PERVERT MAZI NNAMDI KANU'S TRIAL The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), under the command of our unlawfully detained Leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, issues this urgent rebuttal to the false and malicious attempt by the Nigerian government and its compromised media collaborators to link the conviction of one Simon Ekpa in Finland to IPOB’s lawful activities. This is a brazen fraud against truth and justice. The world must know that the question of Simon Ekpa’s non-membership in IPOB is already judicially settled in Finland. JUDICIAL CONFIRMATION: EKPA IS NOT IPOB — IPOB IS NOT EKPA The record is clear: IPOB under oath in a Finnish court testified that Simon Ekpa has never held any position in IPOB or ESN. Ekpa himself under oath described himself merely as a “content creator,” admitted he disowned IPOB, and boasted that he would destroy IPOB. Ekpa created his own parallel contraptions: “Biafra Government in Exile,” “Biafra Liberation Army (BLA),” and “Biafra Defence Force (BDF)” — entities repudiated and condemned by IPOB. Any narrative linking Ekpa’s personal downfall to IPOB is therefore deliberate misinformation — a calculated lie, knowingly repeated to deceive. A SMOKESCREEN TO UNDERMINE JUSTICE The Nigerian state is orchestrating this smear campaign as a diversionary tactic, timed precisely to contaminate the upcoming ruling on Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s no-case submission before Justice James Omotosho, now adjourned until 10 October 2025. We ask the world: Why the unexplained delay in delivering judgment when the Federal Government has failed to establish even a prima facie case? The answer is obvious: they are buying time to inject irrelevant and extraneous narratives like Ekpa’s conviction, in a bid to corrupt judicial reasoning. This is not justice. It is judicial hostage-taking — a weaponization of the courts to sustain persecution. CALL TO THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY We call upon global actors of conscience: European Union & Finland: You bear direct responsibility for ensuring your judicial findings are not misrepresented abroad. The Finnish court exonerated IPOB of any link to Simon Ekpa. We demand clarity be issued to Nigeria to stop this malicious misuse. United Kingdom & United States: You have both condemned Nigeria’s extraordinary rendition of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya. If you are true to your principles, you must also condemn this latest charade — an attempt to derail a fair trial by importing lies. United Nations: The Nigerian government is persecuting a self-determination leader in violation of the UN Charter. IPOB reminds the UN that silence in the face of weaponized judiciary is complicity. CONCLUSION: IPOB REMAINS RESOLUTE Let it be recorded: IPOB is a peaceful movement registered under international law, committed to lawful self-determination. This case in Abuja is not about IPOB’s legitimacy; it is about the persecution of one man — Mazi Nnamdi Kanu — for daring to demand freedom through peaceful means. Simon Ekpa’s conviction is his burden and his alone. IPOB will never carry it. We warn Justice James Omotosho and the Nigerian judiciary: the eyes of the world are upon you. On 10 October 2025, the only acceptable outcome is one grounded in law and fact. Any judgment influenced by this manufactured smokescreen will be rejected as null and void by history, by law, and by the international community. Nigeria stands today at the bar of world opinion. Persist in this fraud, and you confirm yourselves a rogue state where the rule of law is dead. Elusive001:It's this recalcitrant posture of the IPOB that has continued to make matters worse for MNK. IPOB has been designated as a terrorist organization and all these bravado won't set MNK free. Simon Ekpa took a cue from MNK and his vile attempts at dismembering Nigeria and has now have justice served cold to him. Nigeria cannot afford to have Hamas-like militia terrorists organizations at this point of its political history. Only a conditional political settlement can set MNK free at this stage. Seeking "self-determination", although legitimate, must be carried out through constitutional means and not through acts of sheer terror. MNK is a terrorist leader! @hotseat |
