When this year NBA International Conference was shifted to Enugu, many Lawyers grumbled and expressed fear as to why should an Eastern part of the country ridden with violence and insecurities remained an option.

Afterwards, the Association was assured of the best and we moved on, though with doubt, but in the spirit of optimism that our association remains ours, the best of it must be explored regardless!

INDEED ENUGU CITY DISAPPOINTED US

Yes, disappointed to see a clean city and well coordinated people; disappointed to see a city with a good layout and infrastructural development; disappointed to see a well arranged community of people who are friendly and accommodating; disappointed to see classes of hotels, resorts in across the town of Enugu and above all a well constructed and projected first class international conferences centre. All in the City of Enugu.

Aside Lagos, no state in the South West can compete with the COAL CITY OF ENUGU in terms of development. My colleagues who are reading this would attest to this fact.

Their transportation system is excellent, well arranged and orderly( although, extortionate) thus revealed that, the Easterners know what they want and they are committed to achieving it excellently.

This is without prejudice to the efforts of our Governors here in the South West Nigeria, but more passion should be put in place by making infrastructural development a priority beyond petty considerations.

Enugu is greatly Missed!!!.

The credit to the good look of the city goes to Sullivan Chime's regime. His campaign slogan was "Enugu ga-abụ obodo oyibo", and he did it. This is why I laughed at the irrational individuals that were using Umahi's projects in Ebonyi State to mock Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. Every infrastructure Umahi introduced in Ebonyi State was already existing in Enugu. I wondered if they expected Ugwuanyi to demolish the flyovers in Enugu and build new ones just to compete with Umahi.

The current governor is trying with the completion of the ICC project that was started by Chimaroke. As for Hotel Presidential, let me see the performance before I talk.

The guy is saying it the way it is. Some people will stay in one bushy area somewhere and be saying trash about Southeast, and these are people who haven't left their enclave for once, people who have not traveled to any of the southeastern states, but base their view on the propaganda from social media.

As the guys said it, apart from Lagos, there's no Southwestern state that can compare to some southeastern states.

Many of them are still confessing. That's why it's good to travel. They say Landlord travel and see.

Truthfully speaking, the three times or occasions I visited Enugu state, I was wowed. I was listening to a lawyer friend that went for the NBA conference from Rivers State, the man said he is ashamed to come from Rivers State with what he saw in Enugu State. I believe that most of the people that came from South West for the just concluded NBA program will start having a change of mind about South East.

Enugu doesn't make noise but is surely the most panned, secured and liveable City in Nigeria. That is a City where I will retire to and build my a home away from my Anambra Home. I So much Love that City. Very clean, green and well mannered people. Now they have smart Givernor who is making the City smarter

If you notice the governors that are independent and not in the ruling party like Alex Otti and Peter Mbah, they have delivered over and above requirements, they have won second term on a platter, they can't even be rigged out by APC-led rigging machine. They don't need to change party or de camp anywhere but you see governors who have nothing to offer and are not sure of their second term, please those governors need to decamp to APC to get their second term.

Other smaller cities and towns like Abriba, oguta ought to find their way to thr tourists map of the world. Mid tier cities like Aba , owerri, onitsha etc should not rest on their oars until foreigners give this level of attestation

Lol. Some of them when they hear SE, they think it's one village that human beings don't live. But I don't blame them, they barely travel out of their state throughout their lifetime.

I saw someone comparing Enugu with Benue, I just shook my head. A city that should be compared side by side with Abuja and other top cities. Imagine what Enugu will be if it serves as capital of Nigeria.

To all those People that think Igbos leave their states to other states because it's not developed, what you need is to leave that your father's compound and explore other cities.

I can attest to this. Almost all the lawyers that returned from Delta State were praising Enugu. Except the hotel fees that were quite high no negative issues. Lest I forget, they said the food was exceptional.

Enugu is a nice city.
