The easiest way for Peter Obi to lose Northern Christian votes is to be seen with frolicking with Elrufai. It can easily be used against him. Elrufai was nasty to the Christians in his state when he was governor. He didn't do enough to curb the murderous herdsmen. His son justified their activites in Southern Kaduna.

I initially even thought Elrufai was a saint and was just being misread until the state governor accused him of excesssively borrowing during his time in office. It was worsened by reports of his ironfist rule in the state where he toilerated zero opposition and there were cases of missing persons.

As far as Nigeria is concerned, politics and governance, I naturally don't equate anyone's number of academic certificates, portfolios obtained and purported outstanding performance of private or public service if whatever they did did not alleviate the livelihood of the common man. If there are no significant signs then it's just all talk and paper.
