ā”The US Army announced on Friday that it will be deploying the controversial Typhon missile system to Japan for drills in September, a move strongly condemned by Russia and China. The Typhon, also known as Mid-Range Capability, is a land-based missile launcher that can fire nuclear-capable Tomahawk missiles, which have a range exceeding 1,000 miles, and SM-6 missiles, which can hit targets up to 290 miles away. The missile system would have been banned under the Intermediate Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty, a treaty with Russia that the US withdrew from in 2019.

Mikasaobi:š Oh, he wanted to. But the minute the blade touched his skin and elicited a sharp pain, he was like "on second thought, I don't think this is a great idea". So if Washington didn't think the US could handle it, I don't know how they expect the EU to. -Lord |

WriteerNg:The Kims have masterfully played the geopolitical Game of Thrones. This will be the first trilateral summit of the Supreme Leader. Tomorrow, he, Putin, and Xi will stand on the podium to inspect the parade. A formal announcement to the world of the ironclad security alliance of China-North Korea-Russia backed by official guarantees. It's a massive accomplishment for the Kims who insisted on getting nukes regardless of attempts to dissuade them by even Beijing and Moscow who at various times enforced Western-led sanctions against NK. It is also a lesson to the Mullahs. Those who oppose you today will respect you and be forced to accept you when you do it anyway. In hindsight, taunting the West with higher enrichment to coerce them into a deal was a worse idea than acquiring a nuke. If they had acquired a nuke, the 10-20 years purgatory countdown would have started. And like NK today, eventually the world would have accepted their nuclear status as nominally irreversible. -Lord |

Europe's fate sealed. China gets low-cost, dependable Russian pipeline gas that once upon a time powered Europe/Germany. Mongolia benefits via transit. Ukraine used to benefit via transit. "Russiaās gas giant Gazprom PJSC has signed a legally binding agreement to build the Power of Siberia 2 gas pipeline to China via Mongolia, reports citing Chief Executive Officer Alexey Miller in China." Not only that China is gaining massive, the Indian government saw that too and they are enjoying something they never think will happen. |

ā”Putin responds to FIco's frog-in-the-well fable. "I don't want to compare the EU and NATO to animals. They don't specialize in fairy tales, they specialize in horror films. "Yes, I admit ā I killed him. This is my personal revenge against the Ukrainian authorities," declared the suspect in the murder of MP Andriy Parubiy in the court. The man who was arrested for killing Ukrainian MP Parubiy says that: - the target was chosen randomly, Parubiy was nearby; had he lived in Vinnitsa, he would've killed Poroshenko - he wants to be sentenced as quickly as possible so he can get exchanged for Ukrainian POWs, go to Russia and search for his son's body - he had no contact with Russian special services, the assassination was his own initiative & personal revenge against the Ukrainian government Sounds like his son was forcibly conscripted into the Ukrainian military and got killed in action... |

Gbadebo19:But if you do the maths it's much more profitable, compere India and chine population more then 3B and EU just less then 500m .and note India and chine will still sell to EU higher lol š and other part of world so Russia gets bigger volumes in sales which is better then sell one expensive few units and sell cheaper in volume to mitigate margin and make much more profits |

mikael11:Simple economics. You be proper businessman. No customer was lost and if you check you'll find out that Russia is actually earning more from selling to China and India than EU because there's a larger demand for it (China + India + EU + Others) |
