Lagos Is A No Man's Land - Daniel Bwala by fergie001(mod):
The President's Special Adviser on Policy Communication was asked about the alleged lopsided ₦3.9trillion spent on infrastructure in Lagos in the last two years vis-a-vis other States of the Federation
Let me tell you why Lagos State is different, Lagos State is a no man's land. In the last election, the President who is from the South West did not win Lagos, that tells you the cosmopolitan nature of Lagos.

Secondly, the richest man in Africa is a Northerner. His business is not in Kano, it's in Lagos. Almost every rich man you know in Nigeria has his business undertaking in Lagos and the Nigerian people are represented in Lagos. You go to Lagos and if not probably majority of the people are Yoruba-speaking, you will wonder whether Lagos indeed is from the South West.

Tinubu lost in Lagos to Peter Obi in 2023 with wide margin.

Fact!

In 2027, Tinubu will lose again to Peter Obi

Fact!

As someone born here and whose parents were equally born here, I disagree totally with Bwala.
lexy2014:
you disagree or not, it clearly shows you the deceptive and chameleonic nature of this government.

in other to douse the tension that came from revelations that tinubu had allocated more projects to Lagos, they are now claiming Lagos is no longer yoruba land so it wont look like tinubu is favouring yorubas
I agree it is very chameleonic but like I always say, it is the worst of them that is in Abuja. The ones I see and grew up with do not share same mentality. That those in Abuja are even revered is shameful, but they know their followers.
bionixs:
that is your business.

Do you even have economic value in Lagos, let alone those who raised you to have that view. How would you understand what he said. Everything is politics and tribe to you.
The illiterate of the 21st century are not those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, relearn and unlearn.

Come to Awori and tell it to their faces, this same statement of yours, you hear?

Well, lagos is and is not a no man's land. It depends. The reality of the demographics supports it but again, this is Africa where agbero with no C of O or landed property can boldly tell you to go back to your own state because of his/her relationship with gods of the land.

Your Yoruba land doesn’t go beyond Oyo state. Easy with claiming what’s not yours.

So the Igbos have been proven right by Tinubu's spokesman who speaks on behalf of Tinubu

So anybody coming to fight Igbos for that claim should first fight Tinubu who has said the same thing in support of the Igbos

As an indigene whose properties were confiscated by the government to give way for government project, I reject Bwala statement.

The liberality of the Lagosian should not be taken for granted, we can choose to vote Obi today and decided to vote Tinubu tomorrow. Dangote is doing his business peacefully today in Lagos, not because of the government, but because the Lagosians allowed it, outsiders should be magnanimous enough to see that otherwise they will go back to their village empty handed

Enough

Lagos is a Yoruba land and this is why the civil service in Lagos are now using more of "Yoruba language" in their communication!

Eko oni baje!

Awa Yoruba la l'eko!

I remember one day like that a guy said the same thing in a Lagos Korope (7 seater mini danfo) i boarded from New Garage to Oshodi. You won't believe the guy refused to pay the driver and when prompted for money his reason was that the driver didn't ask in English but was speaking Yoruba. Can you bet your life with this?? Everything have been put in place to correct the mistakes, Peter obi fooled most of us , now that we know that his stock in trades is tribalism, bigotry and pretense, he will surely not get half of that in the next election ! Because Lagosians allowed him? Lol.

Dont joke around.

Lagos is Nigeria's economic capital.

It is to Nigeria what Rio de Janeirio is to Brazil and what New York is to the USA.

I hope some people will not go and start digging this man's family background to see if he can be traced to Igbo lineage, just so that they can accuse them.

Lol. Agbadorians are now stuck between a rock and a hard place. All these is happening in a bid to justify the obvious and brazzen display of favouritism, nepotism and loopsidedness to Lagos. Aside infrastructure skewness, are the Lagos appointees of Yoruba extraction also getting unequal appointments because Lagos is no-mans-land? I think even the Southwest is being marginalised in favour of Lagos. The SW will soon realise that they have shortchanged themselves for the selfish interest of one man.

Other tribes have been living in Lagos long before the people of South East even know that there is a place called Lagos o! I hope you know this fact. But these people cherish the own origin and have no problem with Lagos at all o.
