My bosses, I am torn between making a decision for this hustle. Between a 2007 Corolla toks and a registered 2015 civic that was brought in 2020, which is better.
Corolla toks. It's even more valuable as per cost of purchase when compared to a Nigerian used 2015 civic.

Please ensure whatever car u get has its catalytic converter installed in the car. Very important. Godspeed

If the Civic is well maintained go for it, you can't compare a 2015 car to a 2007 car.

NB: the 2015 Honda Civic comes with cvt not automatic, i hope you know the difference?? If you can't maintain the civic, jejely go for the Corolla

2015 car for which kind of prices? .. Bolt/ Uber will still churn useless fares for the car .The riders that are ready to pay premium are on Lagride n Cabzero.
Even Moove withdrew all their 2014 corrolla cars from Uber.
The lower the car year the better Ops chances of recovering back his investment.

Why won't people ask if people are really making 50k a day when same people that allegedly make 50k a day keep complaining about the apps. How can you be making a million a.month (if you work 5 days out of the 7 days a week), and you keep complaining about apps, or your car looks like junk. E reach make.person ask na.

Unless people don't know how to remove fuel used from net money made, how can you be making a million.a month and still be constantly complaining about apps...or have a run down car.
I am sure thr are people who made more, I am in the lazy drivers league 😴 I work from 10am to 4pm bços I hate traffic and I do net 25K if I remove fuel money I hv like 15K to my pocket I am ok, Saturday and Sunday I earn more, if I decided to do 50K daily and i work 3 days straight I might break down for one weak ,I did it from last Friday till Sunday and I hv not been able to go out to work ,u see where knowing ur strength and ur body its very important ,I will show what I made on Friday below, so imagine if I am netting 25k for lite work what do u think before that work from 5am to 12am will earn? Like they said it doesn't come everyday but its very very much achievable I was shocked to see me a lazy drivers net over 70K on the 29th August but like I said my body dey tel me,waist pain ino even fit stand well 😆 🤣 😂

Your regular earning is similar to mine...I mean 15k after removing fuel money. That's my regular earnings when I work for like 6 hours. But if I work for like 10 hours, I earn like 25k.

I have to say something, I don't doubt a person can make 50k if he works 12-14 hours a day. What I'm saying is, it isn't sustainable.

Most folks can't different between cvt and traditional automatic transmission thereby using the wrong fluid in the transmission.

I understand the prices are shitty, but he is going for a toks Toyota Corolla which is expensive than a naija used 2015 Honda Civic.

God day, bosses. I have 7m and am planning to buy a corolla and start UBER but I want some answers to things that are bothering my mind.

1. I live in Ibadan and I wish to relocate to Lagos but I’ve not driven in Lagos before and not familiar with Lagos roads — CAN I USE GPS WITHOUT ISSUES?

2. I plan to be working from 8am to 4pm daily — after deductions and fuel, is it guaranteed that I will still have 20k daily?

Please, help me cos I really want to buy the car next week and start planning my relocation to Lagos. God bless you all

I'm sure someone will answer with even more details than me, but I got drawn to your post cos I lived in Ibadan for 8 years and I relocated back to lagos in February. I also did Bolt driving for a month in IB before coming back to lagos.

On your first question about not knowing Lagos roads, I won't lie to you, it will be difficult at first, cos there are a lot of law enforcement on lagos roads unlike Ibadan roads. You might not know a road is one-way and pass it. But if you know how to use Google Map while driving, then it will surely make things easier for you. I'd advise you to practise with Google maps for like 2 weeks before starting full.time driving. This would save you a lot of time you might waste trying to locate places in lagos without knowledge of lagos roads or knowing how to use GPS.

On your second question, working 8-4 is 8 hours. Since you're planning on buying a tokunbo corolla, you will sure make 20k a day if you drive 8 hours in lagos. I don't know about 50k like a lot say on here, but 20k is more than 100% guaranteed as long as you have a good car.

The first few weeks might seem tasking since you're not familiar with lagos roads, but trust me, it gets better with time. Practice makes perfect. You wont regret it.

.. E better make u buy car of like 3-4million like Honda civic, so u can easily recover your money under 8-10months, keep you 3million or put am for another business.. with time u go sabi road, u can easily learn on the job, u can easily net 30k-40k..

Thanks so much, boss. I really appreciate! The bolded part — I will start practicing very well with google map as suggested even here in Ibadan before I finally relocate. I know Ibadan roads very well but I will be practicing the google map when I get my car.

Please, where do you suggest I can rent apartment in Lagos? This question might be funny but it’s necessary cos I don’t really know Lagos and I don’t want to relate with my cousins there. Please, kindly suggest areas with affordable prices and peace of mind.

Thanks again, boss! 🙏
