What do you mean by "in time"? Is it a race or competition? Is His purpose in life to have children. Some "children" in grown up skin are rushing to marry so they can have children- that's why we have so many broken children.

How many Nigerians do you know of who genuinely cares for or take care of their health? Obviously, this man was not much different.

On getting home, his family members said he was poisoned and decided to visit native doctor who also said that he was poisoned.

They started giving him medicine and conducting so many sacrifices but nothing improved and he died 3 weeks later.

Remember he has roofed his house already but this is the most surprising thing. His eldest brothers children shared the room's of his house and furnished them but abandoned the seating room where he will be lied in state for the last time when his corpse return from the mortuary.

The seating room of that building was not touched but the rooms are already being occupied by his brother and children but couldn't plaster or decorate the seating room at least for burial purposes alone.

When we got to their house and saw this I shed tears. Oga Don suffered to build a house which he did not slept in it.
No wife, no children.
Nobody to oppose his brothers or caution them for neglecting the seating room.

This is a true life story.
Even if you hate yourself that you don't want to eat your money, please ensure you have children who will consume those wealth before strangers will do justice to it.

I find it weird you had to specify "female or male" like that's not the only options, anyway my take from all this is the dead don't care, they are gone so people should please take care of their health.
56 is too young to die, many people are so obsessed with money not knowing at the end of the day, it's all vanity and if you don't take care of your health, you won't even enjoy the money you are making.

Misplaced truth.

The scenario you posted should trigger us to make our health and life assurance system work. If the said man was in a system that works, his life assurance fund would take care of everything. A funeral home would arrange everything.

Instead of using such energy to make the system here works, why would you put such energy into baby manufacturing when the population is already getting too high? The misplaced priorities your fathers and grandfathers made are the same you are making. The same lies they told themselves is the same you are sharing among your generation. It is time to start educating you. Get wisdom.

If the system is fixed, there is no need to make your children investments. You give birth to children because you want to be responsible for them, and not that they should be responsible for you at old age. You are obliged to your children, but good to show appreciation to your parents because there is blessing in it.

Let's fix the system here so that issues you have painted above will hardly happen.

However...
There's no guarantee that his children would have inherited his house. I mean, this is Nigeria, the land where we say "wives are not your family, will everything to your brother so that he will take care of your kids", then sit back and cry when human greed manifests.

There's no guarantee he would have been a good father. He could easily have followed Nigerian society's bad morals and have cheated so much or even have broken up his marriage for the sake of his side chic and disinherited his children.

I guess the moral of the story is: "live well but don't store your inheritance on earth, think and work always towards Heaven".

Cos if he survived for longer he would still have needed a house to live in without bothering about rent

That's why it is stupid to build your first house in the village. Build your first house in your town of work. You build your last house in the village, or at the time you are about to retire.

The brother is not a stranger ...he is still his blood..however you might not get the full picture....moreover we should pray to have grand children or adult children before we die ,because even if he had a wife and little children, if his brother is truly wicked, he will frustrate his widow till she ran away from the family....but since your friend doesn't have wife and children, u can't really judge the man, dead men doesn't talk....do u think your friend would have given his brother money to roof his house or follow them to a herbalist if he doesn't trust them... do u know whether the part of the reasons he travelled to village was to give his brother more money to complete the plastering,....we should not be quick to judge from outside....what I see here is family that lost their breadwinner and someone they hope will help them establish themselves

Apart from having children, people don't understand how important it is to use your money to enjoy yourself very well... Use your money to buy memorable experiences. This is arguably more important than fooling yourself that you are building any mumu house or 'investing' in one dead end venture or the other.

I'm not saying you shouldn't own a house or a thriving business if you can but, use your head (if you don't get it, forget it). At the end of the day, everything is in vain. But at least let it be that you chopped life well well. You will die with a smile of satisfaction on your face, knowing that you fkked life wella.

It's like you've never met a truly stingy man before. A stingy man will fall sick and still refuse to seek proper medical care. Instead, he’ll resort to self-medication, all in a bid to avoid hospital bills. Having children in 2025 is overrated.

Children of nowadays can be totally useless to their parents at old age. Just make sure you have enough money to take care of yourself at old age.

Once I hit between 70 to 75 years, i will sell off all properties in the city. And try to spend most of the cash within 15 to 20 years if still alive.
