Thank you, everyone. I was able to capture today despite the network issue. I will also contribute to this thread my experience at the Immigration Office at Agodi, Ibadan[/quote]So, greetings to everyone here. My sincere appreciation goes to everyone who contributed to this thread, as it has been constructive.

I will be narrating my experience at the Immigration Office in Ibadan today, so that it can also help those who will be needing this DIY idea and experience soon.

I made my payment (DIY) on 27/08/2025, and my capture was scheduled for today, 03/09/2025, despite having 'Waiting for approval' on my application page. I sent emails and reached out via calls, all to no avail.

So, today, I stepped out to capture and got to the Agodi Immigration Office in Ibadan around a few minutes past 8 in the morning. People were already seated and already reaching out to those who assisted them with the registration.

At 8:50am, an officer came with a bunch of booklets to call out those whose files had been submitted through their respective officer assisting them to process the registration. After calling out the names and marching them towards where they will be captured, I sat there looking like I was the only DIY applicant there. Anyway, I wasn't even expecting my name to be called.

I stood up and walked up to the security guard to ask for the SERVICOM office. I was directed to an office, which I went to, after narrating my ordeal, the officer I met described another SERVICOM office for me... I went there and I met this well-mannered officer who arranged my files, signed them, gave me back, and led me to the next office.

I got to the next office and my booklet was collected, the officer there started asking me some questions to confirm if the application truly belongs to me. Then he signed and asked me to go and sit under the shade.

While sitting, people were already reaching out to those who helped them with their application, while I was patiently sitting, waiting for a miracle from SERVCOM. At around 12:15pm, this officer walked in again and called names. Lo and behold, I was among. He narrated that there was a network issue, which was why we were delayed. So, we sat at the seat provided to us closer to the Capturing office, and by 1:00pm, I was already done with my capturing. Even the birth Certificate and Other documents aside my registartion slip were not requested.

So, after capturing, the man wrote a paper for me, with a number, and I signed it.....While I was about to leave, he held my hands and asked me to tip him. I jokingly told him I am broke pass the lowest earner in this office, and every one of them laughed. I promised him that when I come back for my passport, I will surely prepare something for him, and he said no problem.

That's not all, back to my benefactor, SERVICOM. I went back to the man, I greeted him, and appreciated him. I wasn't with much, so I thanked him with the 2k in my pocket. That was how I did my Registration without paying those outrageous fees being called by those people there.

Do It Yourself is Bae.

Summary

Payment made on 27/08/2025
Captured on 3/09/2025

Awaiting notification to come pick up my passport.

Don't just sit there waiting for approval , choose a date for appointment ,probably a date that extends upto a week later, go there on the date you chose even if it's still showing awaiting approval , Go to their help desk or Servicom office and explain your ordeal .
They can help you out ,then you will be told to go and upload/printout a copy which you will take to Servicom for vetting before capturing on same day.
Re: Cost Of A Nigeria International Passport by Domainer1999:
Went for capturing today at the Alimosho office as per appointment date, got there around 8:41 am, put down my name for attendance then approached the security guy.

He’ll first ask you if you have an agent doing it for you or you register online, if you’re using an agent, he’ll ask you to call him/her, if DIY like myself, he’ll check if your status is vetted and direct you to Servicom.

He asked if my status is vetted, which it is, then marched me to Servicom room for documents check.
I had a little delay here as I don’t have the paper copy of my original documents ( indigenship and Date of Birth) certificate. I was later certified and my documents stamped after showing them on my phone.

Priority was given to ‘Vetted’ status documents first and those with ‘Waiting for approval’ was later marched to Servicom room for manual vetting.

There was a mammoth crowd due to people that had been appointed last week Friday which happened to be an holiday.

Their Boss (a woman in her fifties) later come to talk to us that those that had their appointment today will be given priority as only them the system can identify and will have to sort out those that had been booked for last week Friday.

Done with capturing within 10mins.

Despite heavy bribing and money exchanging hands from agents, team DIY are completely safe once your status is vetted and documents presented.
Nobody will disturb, delay or ask you for any bribe/money.

Documents took along;

Vetted passport application
Appointment slip
Payment receipt
Indigenship certificate
Date of Birth certificate

Greetings everyone!

Please, how long does it take for an application to be vetted?

I applied on the 28th of August, 2025, and it has not yet been vetted.

During the application, I selected my appointment date as the 4th of September at the Immigration Office in Awka, Anambra State.

Since the application was not vetted by then, I still went to the office on my appointment date but was told that I had to wait until it was vetted.

As I write this, the status is still showing 'Waiting for Approval.'

Is there nothing that can be done by the Immigration officers at Awka, or did they ignore me because I applied online by myself?

Has anyone processed their passport at the Immigration Office in Awka, Anambra State before?

Explain yourself there and they will vet you manually
